I know we are hearing these premature rumors of dante stallworth comin to miami(hope to god), but I was wondering could we bring in Charles rogers former reciever of the lions in see if cameron can work his magic on him, or do you guys feel he is a bust, washed up can not survive the NFL

I definitely would not say that he is washed up. He has only been in the league for a few years and was considered one of the most talented wideouts to enter the draft a few years back. When he was on the field, he seemed somewhat productive, problem was he struggled with injuries each year (mostly collarbone problems I think). Plus, Detroit really doesn't seem to be the best plays to start ones career. I doubt that he would cost too much considering he was straight up cut by the Lions. If we can't upgrade in the draft, I think I would rather take a shot on Rogers then give big money to Stallworth.

I'd rather bring a talented guy like Rogers in for pennies on the dollar, then pay Stallworth to play his annual six games before blowing a hammy. Rogers has obviously worn out his welcome in the NFL because a guy with his talent usually finds a job pretty easily. Coming out of college he has the same hype as Braylon Edwards and Roy Williams (not quite like Johnson). Now no one will touch him when he can be had for next to nothing. Frankly neither sounds very appetizing but I'm firmly against paying Stallworth big money.

i thnk u can pay rogers jus a base salary and bring him to camp to see wat hes got but hes prob done in this league

Sign him to the minimum and since i am hearing were not resigning welker throw him back there until he get hurts for the season and then cut him at the end if theres any questions about his recovery!

agreed. if no one else wants him. take a shot. see if he has changed. You can basically look at him for a few weeks and tell. its not rocket science. I bet Harrington will know something on him.

I thought that this guy was as talented a receiver as I have seen coming out of college. We was labeled as the next Randy Moss. He was touted almost as highly as Calvin Johnson is this year when he came out.

I know that doesn't mean a lot now that he's been in the league a few years, but his upside is huge. Worth a shot for the money that he would cost and is a great possession receiver.

His character is the biggest concern.

He's been looked at by numerous teams, including Miami last year, and Saban knew him from Mich St. and didn't sign him after the workout.

There's obviously something that's not there any longer. Don't know if he can get it back, but I think he recently auditioned for someone else (Tampa?) and didn't get signed.

I would give him a chance considering the organization he came from.

Unfortunately, he is one positive drug test away from a one year suspension. Also, his problems with the Lions (apart from the obvious problems with the Lions!), were more complex than just his injuries and positive drug tests. Somewhere along the way, he appears to have simply lost his desire to play football (or, more accurately, his desire to do all those things necessary to be a good football player).

When you say "work his magic" do you mean Cameron will use voodoo to replace one's paper-maché collarbone and the other's paper-maché hamstring with real working parts?
