Listen i loved Porter last year he was a game changer and closed out games for us, but he has no presence this year, not only is he not pressuring the QB but he isnt doing anything again the run either.

When Charlie Anderson is in there, the QB knows it...this guy can fly he has tremendous burst out of his stance and flys to the ball, he can get around the OL and get to the QB and goes for the ball every time making big plays. 5 tackles 1 sack and 2FF plus all the QB pressures that has to warrant another start or atleast alot of share playing time with JP...this guy is 6'4 250lbs and great speed, i have been a fan of this guy since his special teams play last year especially vs the Jets, he makes BIG plays and has the ability to change the game which it seems JP is losing the ability to do atleast consistently

Cam Wake, 2 tackles and a sack in limited playing time, everytime this guy gets in the game he gets close to the QB and just looks like an animal....they gota start playing him on a consistent basis so he can really start to develop because he definitely has the raw talent and physical skills

I mean when these guys play look at the pressure we got on the QB especally a 6'5 running qb, looks what happened last week when porter was in Brady has light years to find a receiver.....Wake comes in and gets it done

Anderson, wake, smith, davis, clemons, starks can and should be the future of this defense lets let them gel now.....just my thoughts

wake and Anderson are better then porter when porter is injured but i think porter when healthy is very very good

Langford?

They played Tampa, there offensive line is the pits. I do like Anderson & Wake, Porter definitely isn't the same player he was last year and he does have a big mouth but he is a locker room general. I highly doubt he will be there next year though.

We would of had 3 more sacks if freeman was not 6'6 245.
Both Anderson and Wake had a nice 1st half.
I have yet to see a pass rush in a 2nd half yet

Cant argue against it as both have been more productive than Porter even with limited time.

Cam's a beast on pass rushing downs, but is still learning how to defend the run. Even the coaches have been saying he still has a lot to learn. But to say he's better than Porter imo is not true. Will he get there, sure he will, especially because I don't think Peezy comes back!

That was a ridiculous performance by Cameron Wake.

Here's how we graded the game ... but just look at Wake. He utterly destroyed Jeremy Trueblood who is not a bad tackle.

I spent a lot of time watching the game today (along with our analyst) and we were both amazed by how Wake destroyed him.

I'm surprised there is only one thread about the performance of Wake and its so far down the list. Utterly dominant. Joey who?

Nice! That's pretty insane. I have some questions though. Since you were watching him, did Wake have any moves other than the dipping his shoulder and getting low, and did he get pushed to the ground during those moves a lot?

I didn't do the analysis so can only go off the everlasting memory in my head ... he got under Trueblood a lot ... more than I remember any player ever doing to another player in one game. It was really noticeable every time Wake was on the field and the Bucs didn't really have an answer to him (they should have chipped him or something but didn't from what I can remember)

Wake is a freak, I really don't think anyone is faster or has more explosion coming off the edge. The guy still has a lot to earn but his potential is through the roof, and as just a pass rusher, even though he has limited moves there if he was a full time starter I believe he'd be near the top of the league in sacks. There are two players I have been REALLY impressed with this season on defense and those two guys are Cam Wake and Vontae Davis. Davis has really stepped up lately and has been outstanding in coverage and man oh man can that guy hit, has he missed any tackles so far this season???

Sounds good enough to me  I'm just worried though that if the tackles start to figure out that move of his, that he may not have much of an impact. I wouldn't really know though, because I forget to watch him.

It sure is something though, just about everytime I see a QB having to step up, or the pocket is collapsing, I see 91 in there doing all the damage.
