he is here and not in Europe. He will learn the scheme quickly and he can make plays when called upon. Ronnie, Ricky and Chatman would be a great team of running backs. Chatman is fast and strong with decent hands. So I feel he will replace Minor.:ninja:

I agree simply becaue replacing Minor isn't that big a task.

Chatman must be only 205-210 now. He was listed last year as being 245 and he said he lost about 40 pounds.

I agree but Minor didn't really make a huge impact on our offense last year and neither will Chatman.

The question is: why isn't he in europe? I'm sure I read that he didn't make the team. If that's the case, it's worrying. I want to see what Patrick Cobbs can do.

He's not in NFL Europe because he couldn't obtain a passport in time.

It's easy to replace Minor, he's not on the team anymore. I really like Chatman a lot. He lists on the roster at 5'8 223. He had a foot problem which turned into a weight problem and he ballooned to over 260 and couldn't make a roster last year. The guy is not unlike Cobbs; short, instinctive, quick not fast. He rushed for over 2,000 yards as a senior in college and he was very productive in limited opportunities as Tomlinson's backup. When the Chargers drafted Michael "the burner" Turner, Chatman was expendable. (If Turner got the reps that Tomlinson got, he would be close to him stats wise). He's a freak of nature (5'10 237 4.37 40) If Chatman can stay healthy and keep his weight under control, we don't need Ricky. The passport thing was pure luck for Chatman: if he goes to NFL Europe, he dies in NFL Europe. I'm glad we're giving him another chance. Cam knows the guy.

I feel Minor was never really given a chance. I remember He use to come in for relief and break off some good runs.

The reason he was never really given a chance was because he couldn't pass block for squat. I remember one play -- last year? -- when he tried to pick up a blitzing linebacker and got blown back into the quarterback.
