Hey guys was just looking @ what players are out there, and decided to see who and what everyone else thought of who we could still possibly sign @ cheaper prices.

LB's
Tommy Polley (28 yrs old)
Rocky Calmus (27) has been injured last 2 yrs, but think he could become a good NFL plyer
Hannibal naivies (28)
Rob Morris (31)
Earl Holmes (33) short term gap to drafted rookie
Sam Cowart (31) 72 tackles last yr after returning from two previous injury plagued years
Ronald McKINNON (33) see HOLMES
Warrick Holdman (31) played solid in previous yrs with CHICAGO had down yr last yr with washington

these are LB's i feel could help us this season if LA isnt signed, and wanted to see what others thought. I will do Secondary tommorow.

I like Morris and Polley for veteran minimum (or near minimum) contracts.

Tommy Polley (28 yrs old) - Probably overpricing himself
Rocky Calmus (27) - I'd take a chance on him
Hannibal naivies (28) - Don't want
Rob Morris (31) - His family should be banned from stadium so no-one can cheer for him in public
Earl Holmes (33) - Can't do anything better than Zach
Sam Cowart (31) 72 tackles last yr after returning from two previous injury plagued years - He would know the Jets, but I don't want him
Ronald McKINNON (33) - see Holmes
Warrick Holdman (31) - I'd make him a Spragan type offer

Polley has almost identical stats as LA. He'd be an option, but to my knowledge, Saban hasn't looked at too many other OLBs. My guess is that they feel he is the best option right now...Polley has flaws like LA, but LA is clearly a better option...

The rams didnt keep him and their D sux nuff said.

Rocky Calmus still has a ceiling that hasn't been hit. I think he is kind of intriguing.

I like Hannibal Naivies out of all those guys...I would take Cowart, but he signed with the Texans this weekend.

I don't think it really matters which one of those we would get. It would be just a matter of time before whomever we draft (probably) in the 1st will be starting. If we don't get LA, we'll probably just sit and wait until the draft and get our starter there. Maybe we'll sign one of the above for some back up depth, but at nothing much above league minimum. I'm still hoping for LA, so we can at least think about a top WR, OL or Safety in the 1st. Regardless, I'm betting Nick knows what he's doing with all this. Just got to have patience I guess.
