Ok, after one game that is just silly. If we continue like this for 6 or 7 weeks, then sure. I can't believe people that get so swayed (either way) by just one game.

3. Pittsburgh (1-0): Could we please dispense with the talk that Ben Roethlisberger's rookie success was some sort of fluke or mirage?

didnt he have ~11 passes sunday... can we stop saying hes a great QB...

i am surprised to see the fins in the list though. you do deserve some credit, cus not many people had you winning.

He's not a great QB yet, but he's pretty solid already.

Power Rankings need to be based on teams records this year. Last year isn't important. If the 49ers are 4-0 this year along with say 7, 8 other teams, then they deserve to be in the Top 10 regardless of last year's record.

Completed 9 of them. Thats 81% completion ratio. Losman completed about 60% of his passes Sunday.

Well deserved respect?? How do we deserve any respect? Like the other 15 teams, we're 1-0. And the other 16 teams are 0-1. So?

I don't think any respect is "deserved" yet

Is it really silly? Isn't it more silly to go by last year or the pre-season than to go by the one game that counts so far this year?

I'm trying not to go overboard either, because I agree- It's just one game, that doesn't mean we'll be there at the end... but as far as current 2005 season rankings, I think it is earned. And it's not like we beat a weak team either, Denver was a 10-6 playoff team last year, with the League's 5th best offense.

Let's give our boys the respect they deserve after the Smack Down they gave Denver Sunday. I think everyone in the league took notice of that game, and they better realize the Fins are no joke!

-Trust in Saban!!!
