Check Out This Walt Aikens Interview

I enjoyed watching that, thanks for posting it. We did resign him right?

Sad he's just a special teamer and not a guy you want playing very many snaps on defense because he's a liability vs. the pass.

Cool story, back in April my brother in law delivered Walt's truck from NC to FL. My brother in law told Walt I was a big fins fan. Walt ran from where there were 1/4 mile back to his house. He came back with a Panini card from his rookie year. He signed it and said here give him this, no one else has a card like this. The card was a limited edition of 100. The cool thing is is that this card is not numbered because it was given to him by Panini. I've never met him but I can say that not many players would have done that.

Every time he comes in he seems to do fine. All you can ask of a depth player.

I think he has playbook issues on defense and it burns him with coaches. But he definitely has coveted athleticism and great awareness on specials.

Good resign IMO.

You can tell the guy is a good guy and I am always rooting for him. He is one of those rotational depth players that always steps up when the team needs him.

Walt is the type of guy that makes some sort of game changing play during a playoff run that sets the stage for a super bowl . Maybe one day

Dude is a very solid special teams guy. Too many times thats overlooked.

Such a cool story. Honestly, how many NFL players would do that for some dude they've never met without getting good PR out of it at least?

Kind of lost me on the running back home even though he just got a truck delivered thing, though. I'm just gonna go with he's just that dedicated to his conditioning. :laugh

Just wanted to share a video I stumbled across while binge watching highlights. I love this kid. He's sharp as hell. It's a shame it's got less than 500 views.

Looks like your link made it go over 500 views! Sitting at 558 right now.

What's really sad is that he's one of the better draft picks we've made this decade, by default of course.

2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 remaining draftee's:

Reshad Jones, Ryan Tannehill, Ju'Wuan James and Walt Aikens are still around.

Amazing that Ryan Tannehill lead that roster in 2016 to the playoffs.

I should have clarified that. Where Walt lives is gated and my brother in law had to deliver the truck at the gate. Walt ran back to his house from the gate while my brother in law unloaded his truck(F-350).
