''He was pressured,'' Saban said, ``but I don't think he threw the ball when his feet were set a couple of times, and that affected his accuracy
Does this sound like the sick love affair that wansuck and feidler had and that Fu&&&&& us for years, get ready if it is for some rough years ahead.

Maybe it's just me but I don't think he'd come out and say Gus stinks. Gus might be all this team has right now, and if he goes out and trashes him in the media, what would that do for our team?

its a love affair that happens when there's no better broad around. you keep the one you have until you can find a hotter one, then you ditch the old mediocre one.

I think he was stating what Gus did wrong...not defending him.

I think to say he is the best weve got is bull****, rosenfelds and feeley are better, did everyone forget he beat the pats last year, when they were stil good and we sucked!

No it sounds nothing like it.

He is critiqueing the good and the bad. Listen to the whole context and not just pull out a sentence or two that you feel makes your biased point.

Listen to Saban's entire press conf following this loss. If you arent convinced this guy is a winner, knows how to build a winner, and knows how to coach a winner you are never going to believe because you are a "Wins show me" guy.

I am not a "Wins only" guy. I see and hear what he is teaching. He is building a winner. Wins will come, but accountablity and execution comes first.

There is a difference between winning a game and the Fans think your great, but the details in the win were fortunate to overcome to cause the Win.

The worst thing you could do is play poorly and win! Its a bad precedent.

Do the details correctly and the wins will follow for a longer period of time then getting lucky because a W showed up. Results are not the end goal....play correctly, play smart, play with the sheme and execute to be a champion.

Pretty good analogy. I think Saban's definitely defending Frerotte. He has to. If he was completly honest, it would shatter any confidence that Frerotte might have. Let's face it, Frerotte is the best we have right now. Unlike Wanny, Saban will know when it's time to move on. When that point is reached, Saban will not trash Frerotte. He will simply say that Frerotte was not getting the job done and he's bringing in somebody who hopefully can.

sound like he was saying what gus did wrong.. and what gus can do to fix it

its gus's responsibilty to fix it. period.

after this season, you all will see where sabans loyalty ends..

I loved the intensity he had during the day after press conference

Saban was great right at the end of the conference. If any of you missed it just watch the last three minutes of the conference. He looked like he was going to blow a gasket! About time he showed some passion. Keep it up Nick!

As for Gus and Nick, I think we have to wait until after the KC game, see how Gus plays. If he stinks it up again Saban is going to have to do something with that position
