Because he was only a special teamer and probably would have never contributed on defense without getting injured all the time. While I admired his heart and courage it was also his weakness. That guy played like a 6ft4 255 pd LB unfort. his body couldnt handle it.

he just wasn't doing very well. 1 good play isn't enough to keep someone

One good hit doesn't win a roster spot. It was a spectacular hit laid on a guy who simply didn't see it coming.

That hit was tight, was voted #1 on the ESPN sunday night football show.
The Rams got JACKED UP!!!!

He was a tweener. He played LB in college, only played special teams his rookie season. We tried to move him to S, and he couldn't do it. He didn't have a position with the Dolphins

Bryce Fisher (who now plays for the Seahawks) was the recipient of that snotknocker. He was on NFL Total Access just before the past SB. When he was asked about how hard he gets hit playing football he brought up that particular block. He said that it was the hardest hit he had ever taken on the football field. He said he was still coughing up blood a week later and it took a while to breath normally again.

Ouch!

Another wasted draft pick.
I wouldn't go that far. If I remember correctly, he was a fairly low round draft pick and at least looked like he could have been a decent player. It didn't turn out that way, but at least it appeared like a player worth taking a gamble on at the spot he was chosen.

I actually really liked Tony Bua, and I think his problem was his size.

It seemed like he was too small to play LB, but not fast enough to play safety.
