It shows that he cares, a sort of passion. It shows the when the coach gets mad at him that he's feeling it. IMO it shows that he wants to be here and contribute.
I'm pulling for Chester as everyone else is, but if you remember he guaranteed the playoffs a couple of years ago. So his vows seemingly mean little to nothing.
