Chiefs cut Stanford Routt

Per rotoworld. Seeing the fact our secondary is awful and just gave up 450 yards passing maybe we should take a look at Routt. He has been a decent CB in his career but has been awful this year, he is rated the 16th worst CB by PFF but maybe he is just a product of his environment considering the chiefs are a atrocious. Either way our secondary needs to be addressed because we are still very much in the playoff hunt.

Chiefs released CB Stanford Routt.

We're starting to get scapegoats in Kansas City. Even though Routt is a vested veteran, all players must pass through waivers this time of season. A starter through Week 8, Routt was a healthy scratch for Week 9. Javier Arenas will now start opposite Brandon Flowers, leaving Jalil Brown for nickel duties. Making $6 million in the first year of a three-year deal, Routt has graded out as the 16th worst cornerback in Pro Football Focus' rankings, so the move is justified, if surprising. He should draw plenty of interest as veteran depth for the stretch run.

Yea he was pretty damn good in Oakland. My guess is he is a product of an environment. That whole team is a trainwreck and it turns into a snowball affect and players just give up. Maybe going to a team that is in the playoff hunt would give him a boost. All I know is if were gonna stay in this playoff hunt something needs to be done about the secondary.

routt is terrible. no way around it. was trash with the raiders and was just as bad with the chiefs.
