Chiefs GM Peterson resigns..Will it affect KC gameplay?

Why would it? It's not his job to suit up and play or coach the team. Besides, I believe his resignation won't be effective until the end of the season.

Because he built that team and brought in all those players, In the article it has a qoute from Tony Gonzalez saying he was surprised...he resigned today...the article says at the end of the season but on the picture it says he resigns from the 2-12 Chiefs, ESPN also said he has resigned and didnt mention anything about the end of the season, Some players probably have grown a relationship with him and might affect them?

Nobody like the guy. The entire KC fanbase calls him a d-bag and has wished for his firing for years. The Hunt family not giving a crap about winning and being cheap has kept him with the job for this long. He is probably the worst in the league.

However he did hose Camrand for a 4th rounder since they blinked first for a QB who most likely would have been released in a few weeks anyway. So as ineffectively incompetent as he's been, what does that say about our former regime???

yes, thats true, but he has been making bad decisions for years. What does that say about their owners?

Likely means they will finally get rid of Herm Edwards.

That was like an early X-mas gift.

Just look at how he has treated their draft picks for the past decade, & the way he lied to Gonzales. I'll bet half the team has been boozing it up all week in celebration.

They should be ripe for the picking come Sunday. :err: ;)

No. They will continue to blow. Mainly because they lack any kind of real talent on defense.

Pollard and Page are two very talented up-and-comers at safety. Both are playmakers and I wouldn't mind having either on the Fins.

As I type this I am watching the local news coverage (late night re-runs) on the subject. They're showing footage from the bars around town. The fans are literally dancing in the streets. The "resignation" is effective end of year. (Let's be real, he was fired)
To be fair regarding the owner, Clark Hunt just recently took over the team from his father and appears to be taking the first and most necessary step to cleaning up this franchise. Peterson was in KC because of his relationship to Lamar Hunt and only because of that. The Chiefs are better off now and headed in a new direction.
