Chiefs Will Retire Derrick Thomas’ Number

The Kansas City Chiefs announced earlier today that, on December 6, they’ll retire the number of linebacker Derrick Thomas.

about time i think next to the real LT, he was the next best LB, during that era. have always been a big fan of him and taylor good to see that happen

Repeating what everyone else has said...it's about damned time!!!

I was stationed at Fort Leavenworth, KS from 1992-1995 and was sick to death of hearing about the Kansas City Chiefs, but giving credit where credit was due, I ALWAYS liked Derrick Thomas. He was phenominal on the field and was truly a great man off of the field.

I was sorry when he was killed in his automobile accident.
