Vikings | Childress wished Culpepper would have worked out in Minnesota
Wed, 29 Mar 2006 21:39:12 -0800
Kevin Seifert, of the Star-Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress wishes Miami Dolphins QB Daunte Culpepper (knee) would have rehabilitated his knee in Minnesota instead of a Florida health clinic. Childress said he Culpepper did himself a disservice by rehabilitating at a subpar facility. Childress said atletic trainer Eric Sugarman met with Culpepper at a HealthSouth clinic near Orlando. When Sugarman asked for some basic movement drills, Culpepper led Sugarman out of a back door and into a Wal-Mart parking lot.

When is this guy gonna stop putting Pepper down cause he didnt want play for him

Childress just needs to shut up and move on. The trade happened over two weeks ago. Culpepper is a Miami Dolphin now, not a Minnesota Viking. I just don't think Childress understands what being the coach and leader of the football team is all about. He has to stop this petty fighting.

I think he need to be a bit more professional. Pepper hasn't anything about Childress. If I was Childres I would shot my mouth and focus on my team. I can't wait till we kick Childress and the Vikings *** this year.... He will probably say that if Culpepper wasnt a Dolphin they would have won!lol

I think Saban needs to finally say something to the press...take a not-so-veiled shot at Childress for all this nonsense. Our media policies don't allow players to take up their own defense with the press...so Daunte is basically defenseless as Childress drags him more and more through the mud.

Saban needs to say something to the press and stick up for his player...let Childress know that he's OUR player now and in the NFL you don't talk about other teams' players.

:sidelol: With the way this guy shoots off his mouth his name says it all..... "CHILDress"

It sure seems that Childress` ego has been running out of control the minute he was named an NFL head coach. He needs to put a lid on his comments, and worry about his own players. My $$ says he doesn`t make it two years as coach of the Vikes.

He's just making up excuses for his bad decision making. Don't be suprised if this is brought up again and again, especially when Culpepper plays great in Miami. The trade will haunt him for the rest of his career so he will constantly be trying to justify it.

Childress knows he was dumb, and he knows they have no shot this year. Minn has been pretty dumb with moves in the last few years

You people are the ones who need to get over this. Miami has Culpepper. That's the end of the story as far as we're concerned. It is only natural that Culpepper keeps coming up because the Vikings are going to need to replace him and the press knows that this may happen in this year's draft.

I do believe that Childress is having trouble keeping control of the press up there because it does seem like they can use any excuse to get back to the Culpepper story. Childress would probably be doing himself a service by cutting it off and making an example of the next reporter after the cut-off who tried to get him to go that way. He's a rookie head coach, though. He's learning on the job just like Nick did and every other rookie head coach does.

Childress should stop worrying about our quarterback and start worrying about his job. I swear to god, is there a possibility he could fired before his first game?

I disagree, they need to stick to the high road

it would also go against Saban's philosophy that you concentrate on your own business and ignore the clutter

sorry it's a very poor expression of his philosophy but I think you get the gist
