There has been tons of speculation in the wake of the Tom Gamble firing that Kelly is looking to get out of Eagles due to power struggle with GM Howie Roseman. This is very much like the SF Harbaugh situation.

I have been told #Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has expressed interest in getting out of his contract.

If Kelly manages to leave, Ross needs to immediately go ALL-IN on Kelly. It would be the perfect fit for a variety of reasons, but at the top of the list of the reuniting of Lazor and Kelly, so there wouldn't need to be much transition or turnover. Plus, he may be able to get the most out of Dion Jordan.

If Kelly becomes available and Ross sticks with Philbin, I am done with him... DONE with him.

For what it's worth, there have been persistent rumors that Lazor was going to be fired by Chip Kelly last season.

That said, Chip Kelly > Bill Lazor. With much respect to Bill.

In any case, many of the concepts would be the same so it wouldn't be like Tannehill would be starting from scratch again.

I don't think Ross is all that into the Fins. He couldn't come in and win right away, so he lets Joe play out his contract in a quitter move. Either extend Joe because you believe in him, or let him go Ross. Ross is happy for the Michigan hire.
I'd love to see Kelly or almost any other HC here.

You have to like the work Joe has done and Coyle has a nice control of the defense…do not rock that boat.

The problem is that even if we inquire about Chip and are denied, we may not ever know and everyone will assume we did nothing and bitch about it.

This is true, I will give you that. It would be a tough spot for Ross considering his previous overtures to coaching candidates with another guy already on staff. But if they do make overtures, I think some detail of "interest" would leak to press like it always does.

I am not sure why anyone would want a Chip Kelly or a Rex Ryan. Think how Philbin has his team ready and fired up for big games….or how they have torrid starts to games…or close games out like Ketih Folk in a World Series game.

Good stuff happening.

The best part of keeping Joe is I have a crater of stress pre game knowing the team's weakness and nothing has been done to tend to them and a splitting headache post game that I treat with Advil and alcohol.

Dude are you going to keep trying to derail the thread until someone finally responds?! ....Jesus..

Vomiting usually takes care of my post-game headache. You might want to try - it's cheaper than advil & alcohol.
