Injured or not no shot this team cuts Drake. I'm not even sure they'd keep 4 RB's considering I think they go with 3 TE and potentially 6 WR but we'll play hypotheticals. If you can only keep Pead, Thomas, or Williams who do you choose?

Consider all factors- Runner, Pass Catcher, Blocker, Red Zone, Special Teams, Overall Worth

Right now, I'd rank them Isaiah Pead, Daniel Thomas, Damien Williams. In that order.

If we were down to only one healthy RB, Isaiah Pead could probably still allow us to run a real offense. Among the three, he's the only one that has any vision.

I want to see more from Pead. We already know what Thomas and Williams can do, and there is nothing great about either of them. Pead looked good last night, let's see how he does next week. Based on last night, I would keep Pead but again, it's early.

It's too early to say. As of right now I would say Pead but consistency is key. Can he do it again and again?

Have to see more from Pead, but at this point I'm sick of looking at Williams and a lesser extent Thomas.

Pead has a lot of talent, He showed off some of that short area quickness, he's impossible to depend on now, but I think he knows he's on his last chance, if he matured and takes the league seriously he could be really good. He looked hungry in last nights game IMO.

Did Thomas even play?

Williams I love his natural athletism, he's perfectly build to play RB at the NFL level, but the vision is non existent. And we need a between The tackles guy.

I don't think you can make a call until the end of camp. I go Pead after last night, but that could be an anomaly. BTW people tout Williams for his blocking and he might well be far better than Pead in that regard, but on at least one play Pead did a really good job of picking off a pass rusher last night. I don't remember the specific play though. Also Drake might well be a good candidate to spend the year on IR. He was injured a good part of last year and now is injured going into camp. A year off might be good for him. Thomas actually played pretty consistently last night. He's probably the type of guy you can cut though and know he will still be out there on the street later in the year if injuries force you to sign RB help mid-season.

I don't think it was an anomaly. As a 2nd rd draft pick, Isaiah Pead always had vision, speed, moves.

It's been a while since his college days, but the preseason game showed that he still has it.

Just off what I saw last night, I'd have to say Pead. I've never seen anything from Williams that impressed me. Well, that's an exaggeration. He's just not impressive as a runner and catching the ball isn't really difficult for any running back. I have to admit Daniel Thomas looked better last night, consistently, than I'd seen him in his previous stint here, but I suspect he'll fall back to his average if he made the roster. Pass blocking is going to be key with Gase.

Yeah, he's got really good balance and he reminds me of a skinny Thurman Thomas with that spinning out of defenders' grasp and the weaving.

with Drake's, Ajayi's and Foster's injury history you have to carry four backs. I think you could do worse than any of the three you mentioned (WIlliams, Pead and Thomas) as a fourth string back. However, I still believe there will be better options than all three that are available at the end of training camps.

Something tells me there's going to be some disappointed people here. Williams has been getting more looks than the other two combined. They seem to like him.
We need to see Pead against the 1s and 2s before you can compare.

I think the coaches like Williams because of his blocking ability as a RB
Also as a special teams player
