Chris Brown

I was just thinking that. He is probably the best option if Corey Dillon isn't serious about retiring.

I would rather have Tatum Bell but here is what would help us . we should think about drafting another rb next year if our guys just barely get 800 yards then we should consider dafting a rb every 3 years along with a qb just to cover our own ***** . but i think mauia will make one heck of a player and so will booker . my ony concern about Ronnie is will he stay in shape ? if so then fine but we should always bring in compitition to improve on anyways.

You guys are acting like this Ricky news has just changed the way the Dolphins are going about the running back position.

Ricky has NEVER been in the plans. If he got reinstated, then the Dolphins would address him, but they looked at the offseason as if Ricky wasn't going to be on the team. Just because Ricky isn't coming back doesn't mean the Dolphins now are desperate for another back.

Ronnie is the starter, Booker is the backup, and Chatman, Cobbs and Perkins will compete to be the #3.

Hitting the nail right on the head. Cam and Mueller never trusted Ricky and plans were made like he was not even there. This just proves to me that Cam and Mueller are alot brighter than we give them credit for...they will not be swayed by sentiment..they will be swayed by character and commitment...sadly..something that Ricky has not shown in the least.

Everyone seems to be forgetting Eckel did most of the running in the Navy backfield and he's Ronnie's size. Why not use him as a back-up to RB?

Chris Brown gets hurt because he runs too upright, plus he has an inflated sense of his own ability and value.

This team is doing the RIGHT things for the future. Cam and Randy are building the future with youth, speed, and most importantly hard working character guys. RW was not in their plans. He is a pot head period. This yoga crap is laughable -finding his inner peace - along with his peace pipe. What would the Samoan crew think of this. Hey Guys - RW is in the next room doing his yoga - wanna say hi - sure let's just run through this wall here and see him.
He should have dominated the CFL but he is not that type of back anymore. He is playing simply to avoid paying back 8.3M to Miami which I believe is up this season. He may have been trade bait but certainly not in their plans. Why would you spend a 1st day draft pick if he was. RB will pound it and Booker will be the change of pace back. Hopefully someone else like Chatman steps up and takes the #3 spot. With real FB's finally we should see some holes opening up.

I think Cobbs will be the best fit, an everydown type back in case Ronnie goes down. Chatman may have a say in the final decision, Booker will be a third down change of pace guy, but he is not a 25-30 carry guy.

no way, this is why we drafted Lorenzo Booker. he's already better then Chris Brown is

well, no matter what, we may need to look into a 3rd back or someone who can step up if booker doesn't pull through.

Did you miss the draft? Hello Lorenzo Booker!

I think you might have missed the pound on the defense part, which is clearly not Booker's game. He is a smaller shifty back not a pound the defense back. That said you are right about Booker probably being the backup, hopefully he is more productive and live up to the hype for the Dolphins that he never could with FSU.
