Yeah no kidding. Chris can have a huge game and one drop and everyone will focus on the drop. In that Buffalo game last year when he had 15 catches, I remember tons of members barking about a drop he had on that last drive.

It's just slang for "free pass" among people that I know

here's a clearer, more precise definition from a slang dictionary:

ghetto pass n. figurative or literal approval from black Americans or the hip-hop music community (of a non-black person or a now-successful black person); the street cred of someone known for keeping it real.
