I see a lot of people saying that Chris is going to blow up this year. I guess I just don't buy it. I see Chris having another average year.

65 catches
900 yards
7 TDs

I'm curious to know what kind of year you think he will have.

Regular Season
104 receptions.
1606 Yards
14 TD's

Post Season
26 Receptions
403 Yards
6 TD's (Including 1 for the go ahead winning TD in the superbowl)

I do not doubt that Chambers can put up these kind of numbers. The problem is for him to put up these kind of numbers it means Miami QB(s) will have to try and throw him the ball between 135-155 times and a numbers of those will result in pics by trying to force the ball into him since he doesn't get consistent separation or shield the defender from the ball well.

The other way Chambers has been able to put up big numbers is when the opposing team plays soft which means Miami is losing at the end of the game or finds themselves in 2nd or 3rd and long. It is sort of a catch-22...by rooting for Chambers to get his numbers it is almost like rooting against Miami.

Hopefully, Cam will not call Chambers number as much and the ball will be spread around to Hagan, Ginn, Booker (both), Martin and Brown.

Until he proves differently, he's nothing special IMO. One avg season since he was a rookie is hardly worthy of being projected a success. I'll hold my enthusiasm till he produces.

ehh its tough to say, but i don't think hes going to have pro bowl numbers this year. put that with his up and down career, the suspect o-line and a qb with a sketchy dome i'd say 70 receptions 945 yards and 7tds. decent but not amazing to any stretch of the imagination.

Ok, but what kind of year do YOU think he will have?

 I think the most IMPORTANT stat for Chambers is not catches by times targeted so I will go with "80" for that number. If he can have 45 catches 550 yards 5 TDs on 80 attempts then I think Miami is doing a good job of spreading the ball around and we have a chance at the playoffs.

71 receptions
1101 yards
6 TDs

This is how Chambers catches most of the time - moderate total receptions, higher yards from yards after the catch and deep balls, and only a half dozen TDs from circus catches in the endzone.

We both have him at 15.5 YPC. It would be his second best since his rookie season...Hopes
