...is the best football voice in the industry.

The man can disect and explain every play with speed and precision. You learn a heck of a lot from his comments...def...off...and sp.
team play.

NBC finally got it right.[/SIZE]

Personally i dont like Collinsworth, but his insights are much better then most commentators.

I actually really like Trent Dilfer on the 2nd game..He was pretty good...

Collinsworth is an ok guy but I prefer others over him.

Its amazing to me how just about every fan hates just about every sports announcer there is. Rarely do I see a fan compliment any announcer, and predictably your post was followed by a bunch of posts expressing distaste for Collinsworth. Why? He and Al Michaels are fine.

This..

and then we get a post about someone complimenting Trent Dilfer LOL. Dilfer wasn't bad, but his delivery needs serious work, and as a fan, knowing the highest level of his play in the league could be described as "blah"....I had a hard time believing most of what he was "selling."

I do hope this was sarcastic!! I mean he was a NFL starting QB, which puts him in about the top 1000th of 1% of people who play football. On top of that he was a superbowl winner, which puts him in a group where less than, probably, one out of 50 NFL starters can lay claim too. Or to put it another way, something Marino never accomplished.

To say you don't like him is one thing, but to say he hasn't accomplished enough for you to take him serious, well that my friend is obsurd. Let me guess, you have no problem chatting sports with Joe Blow, around the water cooler?? Yeah that makes sense.

I love when Gruden announces. That dude LOVES good football and it comes through when he announces.
