Chris Johnson, Sproles, Hester...speed?

Why not Chris Johnson or Sproles as a viable running back option....we need someone that's hard to bring down/catch in open space! Also Hester is a better option then Thigpen and is a hometown boy and always wanted him on the squad. Any three of these guys can change the game at any time. We need play makers.....our defense is young and looks to be improving but we need to score to help them out. Speed kills and all three of these guys are elusive and can make a big impact! I would love Chris Johnson (if available) and Hester....them with a couple O line and a decent draft and I think we are a playoff team this year.

I'm pretty sure Sproles ends up in Denver, that's the rumor I hear at least. Johnson maybe worth a look if we don't have to trade for his stupid salary. Still not the biggest fan. I'd take a flyer on Hester if he can still be a good returner

My opinion:

Rb's: miller, MJD (like Hayden says- to pick up a blitz and maybe a change of scenery works), rookie

Cut Thigpen and try Hester at returner

Agreed and I think we still draft a running back or hopefully Thomas or Miller develop more....and I think that Johnson and sproles are not 3 down backs but they have homerun ability and the ability to run screens and set up 2nd in short....I think its going to be about the play calling and getting the ball out quick.....I just think being able to break chunk runs and screens are huge in this game now.....its a pass friendly speed league not a bruising run between the tackles 35 times a game league. You can't teach speed, you can teach someone to pick up a blitz.

CJ Rumor is from NFL Network yesterday. Faulk mentioned moving to the Colts and writers ran with it.

The Vikings are a potential landing spot for Darren Sproles, according to Albert Breer.

Darren Sproles has no interest in playing for the Raiders or Chiefs, per a Chiefs source.
 
I'm really hoping for MJD. He does pick up the blitz, has been a star, and needs a change. I think he can still be a huge weapon. Plus I don't him going to the Jests!
 
Don't believe any rumors that Hester is signing anywhere now. He is on a tiny island in the Bahamas where I live (only 350 people here) and supposed to be here all week.
 
Was hearing Sproles to New England in a trade with NO this AM on Mike and Mike.
 
I wish we could get a good update on all 3 of these guys situations...sproles to NE would be devistating, it would crush us in the passing game like Faulk did...he's the type of weapon we need.
