IMO Chris has been the biggest dissapointment in the first two preseason games. He flashed last year in camp and in preseason, but so far in these first two games I have seen nothing from him. I've paid close attention to him especially while he's pass rushing and every time so far he's been stone walled. I even saw him run into an O-lineman and then just stop. Where is the tenacity, work ethic, etc.? I believe I read a report earlier in the offsets on that Chris had added some weight, if true then it looks to me like it's made him slower and sluggish. Has anyone else noticed these things?

I think the coaches are seeing the same. See if the experiment with Misi at SLB.

too much too fast.... you don't go from 2nd/3rd string DE to starting OLB.... too much hype I still believe he will make an impact though

work in progress still...hard to say if miami would be better off with misi at strong sheppard in the middle and jenkins at weak but im sure its getting strong consideration

mccains still not ready to play off the los as a lb but he also is only gonna get there if we let him go thru the growing pains...no substitute for live bullets...hes definitely late and thinking too much though

and while misi is a damn solid strong olb if he and sheppard are in there together in base you gonna really give teams 2 guys to attack off pa in the passing game

tough call...mccains making it a harder one cause it hasnt clicked yet

and i sure hope miami has a better sub package answer than mccain rushing against tackles on the edge all the time...cause he's gonna 2 step with them when tackles sit on his only rush move and at that weight if they lock out on him it's curtains

Its very early - McCain really only needs to find one move to make an impact - once he finds his groove in that he can grow from there.

He will be fine... Misi will get injured so McCain will be needed. I am not worried about our defense. Its our O-line.

I have to say that this is an excusable weakness in our team because they had 8 months to fix the issue and failed.

We are now relying on Brandon Albert with to torn ligaments and NO viable backup. TH will be exposed to one of the most vicious tide of defense lines in NFL history in at least 5 games - Jets, Bills, and Texans! Thanks front office for conscientious attention to the well being of the most sacked QB in the league in the last 3 years!

What lb has done ANYTHING this pre season?

When watching the game for the second time, they re ran a play and it was shot just behind wake who came on the "rush" and it looked like he was going to execute his standard make contact, push back, dip right shoulder and head for the qb move.

Everything is text book cam untill he makes contact and just STOPS!! No churning feet, no wrestling, just like it was a walk through practice. Then i started thinking about the reports of miami turning it down for the game and suddenly it appeared to be so. Pre season or not, cam had a sack in front of him had he made the effort and he wouldnt have passed it up, unless...... . Wake just does not take plays off, ever! And he tanked that play big time.

Then i started really paying attention to the front seven to see if there was more of this and there were several times from fede and philips and mccain where if you watched, they were damn near play acting a lot of the time.

Injury conerns from the staff? At this point, i dont think dialing it down for any reason is out of the question. We are scarry thin on depth in many spots and a couple more injuries could derail the 2015 dolphins train. We have already (as usual) been bitten early.

This starting group has shown on both sides they are ready to roll some heads, the staff knows they are ready for the season and losing pre season games at this point is an after thought. And i am ok with it. Dont get down on mccain so much right now. I believe they are going to move him around a lot and he will make noise.

Mccain is like the Kraken, you don't release the Kraken in the preseason. He will have some big sacks this year and you can take that to the bank... the Blood Bank.

unless tripp shows it miami only has 1 lb on this team that can carry coverage...and tripp doesnt seem to be close to playing...teams are gonna try and exploit any other lb you put out there...something happens to jenkins and our lbs will get murdered in the passing game on early downs which will impact our ability to get into sub personnel

you already got enough issues in the lb core causes there's little to no instincts...add in the fact that only 1 guy can cover and you are looking at a ton of zone which you need to be ahead of the sticks to really employ

this d has got a lot of weaknesses to exploit gameplan wise...it's all on the front 4s shoulders

Whats really scary is I'm pretty sure Carolina's front 7 was taking it easy on us too, so maybe the o-line isn't as good as they appear.

really i should say it's all on suhs shoulders...cause that's really where it all is when it comes to the d...on suh

Phillips might bring some surprises to the table?

you and me both, if you squint hard enough he almost looks like number 95...he was dynamic last pre season, maybe its coaching

rookie dt...expect growing pains...dts unless they are just rediculous out the gate take time to develop...from what i see phillips will be no different

it's hard to put everything on a 43 dt anyways...in suhs case every gameplan we face should be to try and double suh on early downs and attack the lbs in the passing game as much as possible on them...jenkins really helps with the latter of that...but there's still someone else out there and whoever it is is gonna be a liability

also bobby mccain in the slots gonna wear a target and teams are gonna try and catch aikens at free safety out of position or taking false steps...and from what i see that shouldn't be too hard...safety wise if it's not reshad the tackling is horrid

all on suhs shoulders...need him to be superman...although some teams dont have the horses to expose us i'd say very much...

the back 7 on d very much needs a talent influx...i guess thats to be expected when you invest 5th round picks and udfas only in it of late...the will davis of the world that can't even break your top 4 in year 3 need to be purged

the lb core is a joke depth wise...bare cupboard

Have to agree so far on McCain. Fizzling so far....almost a little apathetic out there. Can't really say anything for certain until we see guys week 1. Apart from guys fighting to make the team, rest are just going through the motions and trying to come out of it healthy. We'll see the heart and the "want to" when the games count and I think we'll have a lot of it.
