I know I might get bashed on for this but hear me out. This guy is like an Antonio Gates... He played basketball in college, (Kentucky... he wore #44). He attended high school about 10 mins from me here in California, and in high school he played TE... He earned all-state honors his senior year in high school, and was highly recruited for football but decided to play basketball instead. He has a big body, he's in the neighborhood of 6'6" and 250lbs. Last year, during the pre-draft talks, they talked about his interest in playing football, but I don't think a team has given him a shot yet. It wouldn't hurt to give this guy a shot, who knows he could be the next Antonio Gates. (By the way we could use Jamar Fletcher right now, he just picked off McNabb!). I'm not sayin we need another TE, but we sure could use a solid back-up.

id rather have Wesley Duke..on Denvers practice squad....built like a machine..if you watched the college slam dunk contest last year..you woulda saw him

HAYES would make an EXCELLENT leader if anything... im a kentucky wildcats fan... and ive never seen a better captain and go to guy in college ... he has soft hands and STRONG as well as agile

Im a huge UK fan........chuck hayes is great........he didnt have all superior talent, but he always played with a big heart and gave it 100%.

I know no one actually thought this was going to happen anyway, but UK tried to get him to play football once his basketball eligibility ran out and he didn't get drafted. Hayes said he wanted to just focus on basketball.

I got a tarheel for you. Jesse Holley. Received a football scholarship to UNC as wr he is 6-8 220. He don't play football anymore said he wanted to concentrate on basketball. He is a great atlete that contributed to the national championship bb team. Oh and David Noel also played wr and got a football scholarship he is also 6-6 and 230 both run great 40 times and were highly recruited in football nationaly. If you want to see some athletes watch UNC bb. They will strugle but both guys will start.

Let's get Shaq to play tight end next. Enough of the drag a man off the street to play campaigns please.

Noel and Holley isn't dragged off the street. They received football scholarsips and both played at least one year in college. They were both highly recruited and came to UNC for one reason to play fb and bb. Just because they concentrate on bb dont mean they lost any football skills. Watch them run the court and sky over defenders then imagine a 6-8 or 6-6 wr as fast as them with enough athletic talent to start on the UNC BB team.

Intresting thoughts but I am happy with Diamond and McMike.

Plus, look at the bums that we have throwing the ball to them. Tight end is not our problem. Diamond and McMichael are okay. We don't need a log jam at tight end.

Tell the chargers that bud. Antonio Gates is a top 3 TE, and he came in "off the streets".
