The Dolphins spent all offseason finding weapons for Tannehill so they could not use them. He was solid in Week 2, nothing spectacular.The stat people will like Tannehill more from that game though. 359 yards, 8.2 average, 68% completion, 2 TDs, 0 INTs.

That's funny. I said so much of what he did in my post on how to beat the Bills. Run from a spread. We have the weapons especially to go 4 actual receivers and scare people. Even if we went Parker, and Still on the outside and Landry and Matthews on the inside. We could run or pass from this formation so easily. Let RYan audible depending on what the defense is showing. Also speed the offense off, don't let them substitute. Giving so much cushion has driven me crazy for 4 years of Coyle. Why not a 4 yard cushion, hard to pick guys at that depth or its a penalty but lets them read the eyes of the QB a little bit.

Thanks Daytona. Shula does a great job breaking down many of the plays in the VIP section as well. Well worth the cost for those that like their X's and O's. plus no ads.

Always enjoy an outsiders perspective, but in general he just sounds like a disgruntled Dolphin fan and wasn't necessarily objective.

Was the first and only toss play that we didn't gain positive yardage from in the 1st half when Miller was healthy. All others went for gains of at least 3-5 yards which is respectable. All that was need was to call them more.

All the running plays are tosses outside from shotgun. This is incredible.

This isn't true. We had an outside zone run for 6 yards and an inside zone read which Tannehill kept for a 9 yard gain off the right end. Doesn't seem like a lot of variation but that's also b/c we only had 15 rushing attempts.

I don't understand what he isn't seeing. At least half of our rushing attempts came out of trips right and 3 wide/TE flex formations.

Kind of a pathetic breakdown IMO. Especially with just snapshots. Leaves a lot to be desired and easily misconstrued. Although, our play was also along those lines, You'd expect less bias from an outside media source. Then again, who am I kidding.
 
What a frustrating and bad loss. So much left on the table. Same for the Jags too to be fair. However, Miami could have stolen this game with some clutch play at the end of the game. Of course…natta.
 
Im gonna look at those 3rd and shorts and who has the flats and where they are coming from...the stills look bad...i do know teams are out flanking our coverage with the lbs by our aligning them too tight to the formation presnap...at least i saw that in the skins game...

D is definitely giving away too many freebies
 
I'd say shooting ourselves in the foot with penalties on critical plays cost us that game. Took away a sack and some positive plays on offense. James had three I believe. Set up the Jags for 3 points just before the half. Probably cost a FG when our kicker was backed up to the 41 instead of 25. OV's butthead play . I could go on.

This is why I don't buy all the panic that the season is over after a 3 point loss in our second game. We are always one of the less penalized team. This game was a misnomer and I doubt we do that again all year.

The play he says "how many times does it have to happen" is actually the fb alualu the dt who leaks out into the flat after acting like hes gonna lead block and take on the box free safety...its not even a play fahey should critique frankly

We are playing a zone behind it and they sneak the fullback out there...we didnt give away anything there by alignment

Just a caught you by surprise thing

Im not even to the 5 minute mark of the first quarter and brice mccain has been awful...

yeah McCain was a big disappointment in this game.
 
I've been asking myself why we give a 10 yard cushion every play in the nfl as well, get up there and disrupt the timing. Could needs to get his **** together with his schemes
