Cinncinati bengals forum

No what is laughable as people thinking Hartline is better than AJ Green:idk:. I'm not sure if you have noticed, but there are alot of people outside Cincinnati who believe AJ is top 3 receivers in the league. In addition the Bengals currently have one of the best passing offenses in the league; and Dalton has a near perfect passer rating in the 4th quarter.

You guys have 10X better running game than we do, other than that I think the Bengals have more talent in most facets (QB, WR, TE, dLine,).

Our linebackers have been subpar throughout the first 4 games, but looked better last week. Looks like Reggie may or may not go. If he sits, Bengals win easy.
No, we most likely have the best DLine in the NFL. Our #1 Run D proves that much. I don't know if you have 1 player on your Dline better than our worst starter on the Dline in Odrick. We also have 2 pro-bowl DT's in the middle and one of the best 4-3 DE's in the nfl today in Cameron Wake.

And even if Reggie does not go (I'm certain he will) our backup HB's are talented enough to carry the load, Lamar Miller is looking very good, and Daniel Thomas, besides the fumbles, works as a serviceable power back.

The Bengals might as well focus on the pass game, because if they put their full attention on our running game, our passing offense can get it done. I think that was proved against a very good Cardinals defense that is much better than the Bengals defense we're about to face.

I think it will be a challenge to defend the Bengals pass game, but I'm confident our Defense can step up. Taking out the run game will force Dalton to throw from 8-10 yards on 3rd down quite a lot, where Dalton has an 80.1 QB rating and has thrown 2 INTs with a 43% completion percentage. And add to the fact that the Bengals have only converted 27.7 percent of their 3rd downs which is good enough for 29th in the league, whereas the Dolphins have converted 43.5 percent of their 3rd downs, good enough for 7th best in the league.

It will be a good game, and it will be fun to watch. Every fan is confident in their team, and I know every team comes into Miami thinking it's a cake walk, but I think we've proven that we're better than people think, and have given the Jets and the Cardinals more of a fight then they thought.

dont think so lamar miller has got reggies moves and is just as quick and if either bush or miller get to the 2nd level there gone ,Lane and thomas both will bang and penatrate your front line on defence , i look for fasano to have a big game and even clay may get started , imo if gaffney has learned the play book fast enough then it will be Hartline , Bess , Gaffney and Armstrong , im lookin for a breakout game and i think it just might be this one , But i still say Miami 24 cincy 21.

If the bengals are so much better than miami then why is the spread 3.5? You get 3pts for home field advantage so no one told Vegas how good the bengals are and how ****ty our dolphins are.

Andy Dalton 10th best passer. Tanhill 15th best passer.

Bush 6th top rusher, BJGE 14th

1 and 2 receivers are hartline and then green. Hartline has 27 more yards than AJ, HOWEVER hartline has caught 25 of 47 balls thrown to him while AJ has caught 27 of 43. AJ also has two more TDs. Take into account that Andy works in Alot more targets as with AJ being more deadly, we have the edge by far with receiving core.

Geno has 5 sacks and MJ has 4. wake has 4.5.

You must not know anything about the game of football. Football is a game of matchups. Not what one team did against others teams, and another team against totally different teams. Football is also about "timing" when teams meet (trends.. as well as certain aspects of the game matching up vs certain aspects of the game when looking at an offense vs defense, and vice versa)

I sure hope you don't gamble on football. Because with your kind of thinking you'll quickly go flat broke.

Dalton can't beat a winning team except unimpressive TN who became 1 in the last min of the last game last season. It's true we're far from that too, but we are the anomoly in that our defense is equivalent to most any winning team's D. Couple that with our QB coming off the best pressurized performance of any QB in 4 years and a 400 plus yard game vs a much better D than the Bengals, and we stand much more than a punchers chance not only of winning, but doing so decisively.

GTFO of here, your sorry ass franchise has nothing to brag about period...I laughed my ass off seeing how you think the Bungles D-Line is better than Miami. Cameron Wake is the best pure pass rusher in the league, our D-Line is in an entirely different league than the Bungholes. GTFO of here with that crap.

It's definitely going to be a good game. Good post.

I'm kind of surprised at how much Geno Atkins is getting ignored. Dunlap was out for the first couple games and his return lifted the Dline tremendously. Dunlap, Atkins and Johnson together put tremendous pressure on a passing game.

We welcome opposing fans like you here Bash. Glad you can come in, talk a little reasonable smack and some good football debate. Thanks for keeping it classy.

It helps to have opponents that are willing to give and take. There's always going to be a couple bad apples both ways but they're easy enough to spot and ignore. I've enjoyed the banter and discussion this week and am looking forward to a good game.

My prediction.....

I don't make predictions. I'm a jinx. :chuckle:

We're going to take you guys to the bank! JK

It should be a good game. We will shut down your running game but it'll be tough playing against the pass. Smith did shut down Fitz last week and for our sake I am hoping for consistency. Just dont believe that you guys are going to blow us out (like the other Bengals poster) because if you do win it wont be by a blowout.

In all fairness I wouldnt take us too lightly, we are on the cusp of breaking out. I am predicting a 4 to 5 game win streak coming up shortly.

One thing i've noticed in my 30+ years of watching football, nothing ever seems to go the way it's expected. I won't be surprised to see something out of the Bengals running game this week simply because nothing is expected of them. And i won't be surprised to see Green contained.

The three things i'll be keeping an eye on this Sunday are:
1. Bengals running game and Bernard Scott (if healthy and active). BScott has done nothing this year and he's way overdue for something. Whether it's on the ground or through the air. I think if he's healthy, the Bengals should have some specific plays in for him.
2. Bengals receivers besides Green. Dalton is a guy that spreads the ball around liberally. In the game last year @ Baltimore, Green was out and Dalton passed for 373 yds. This year he's continued that trend, spreading the ball around to anyone that has the positive matchup on a given play.
3. Bengals Dline. With Dunlap healthy, the Dline is a completely different beast. Geno still get overlooked a lot and Michael Johnson is a different guy when the man across from him doesn't get help with a TE or a back chipping.

The last thing i'm going to be looking out for is a Bengals win. But i expect that you expected me to say that.

what number seems a little high? I see Tannehill having a bad day this sunday. coming off of a really good week last week his confidence is gonna through the roof, which means he may take risks he cant pull off, and since we have our starting secondary returning this week, ( we played with 2 healthy CB's last week).[QUOTE

look bro there isnt any throw that Tanny cant make ,he can make all throws and not only that hes getting more confident and thats a very very good thing , if Tanny thinks he can make a throw im just as confident that he can as he is , what the prob is , is that teams that face Tanny is the ones that think he cant make the throw and thats why he is completeing the passes he is .
