Clabo: incognito drunk dialed martin

what trouble is that u speak of exactly?

becuause by all accounts, he is seeming more and more innocent as the hours pass.

i dont think its a coincidence how many nfl players, including our players like hartline, clabo, tannehill to name a few r coming out and rather than just staying neutral, they r taking richies side. speaks volumes if u ask me.

Im talking trouble overall. He wasnt going to be resigned anyway, isnt really that good esp in pass protection and has had plenty of issues in past that have led to him being kicked off teams

If Martin has more physical evidence, things could get ugly. I still don't know what to believe, but I don't see this going away anytime soon.

No, there's no chance. Only on Finheaven or other rabid Dolphin sites is Incognito somehow a hero and worthy of reinstatement. If you go anywhere else the perspective is exponentially more balanced and real world. Those words from Incognito are the headline of the story, and inexcusable. The issue is what prompted them, and if they are standalone. All of that will be explored.

Just as I said on Sunday afternoon that I'd bet on the reporters' version above Incognito's defiant stance, on Wednesday I'll wager that more will surface regarding Incognito and it won't be pleasant. The needle seldom continues in the same direction, against the logical tide. We should have learned that from the Reshad Jones example, that a long time mediocrity doesn't steadily take every step to greatness. I hope the apologetic chirpers enjoy the current climate because it won't last. A story that gets this big isn't based on a fleck of a misdeed.

Other sources are implying that Martin has more voicemail messages with more racist remarks. Sooner or later, we'll get to the bottom of this situation.

Why do u never actually have a link to anything lol. Funny though when u say something about Ireland some are bothered but if you defend InCognito its ok lol
Personally I would have no problem with the team moving on from a low character guy like inCognito. I dont advocate boy scouts but he is not worth the trouble

The only problem with that is according to his QB who was often the brunt of his pranks, he was a high caliber teammate and the first to have most anyone's back including Martin's. Sorry if this reality interferes with your narrative but a teammate in the locker room vs a soldier in Korea? wonder who has a better handle on this :idk:

Im sorry Incognito is among the best people ever, he was kicked off teams because they hated how good his character was. Im sorry if I dont think people that leave voice mails joking about half this and that are high character guys even if they are joking. I would think that a person of good character would realize these are things u dont say regardless even if you are pandering to a crowd.

Sorry you're wrong on this one. If Martin was really bullied then why haven't we seen him or heard his POV? Perhaps there's more that will be revealed about HIM? I'm not diminishing mental illness, which I suspect is behind this whole Martin thing, but I think he's a coward who kept these messages for months with the full intent of releasing them later. The messages were ironically released anonymously, which is totally gutless IMHO. If you were bullied and the media and public opinion were on your side then why not stand up like a man and say it! Don't release these messages like this. I think you are seeing why our team thinks this guy is a big, soft pu$$y who wasn't tough enough to play the game and man enough to admit it. We find out now that the coaches realized how soft this kid was and asked Richie to get him into camp for OTA's and to try to toughen him up.

While I don't use those racist words myself, I have used other expletives to describe my best friend and college roommate (and he did the same to me!) and all of it was done in jest--even 30 years later. As Hartline so aptly said today, "the media has bullied us" by jumping to conclusions and not allowing us to defend ourselves or listening to our POV. So far EVERY Dolphins player, white AND black, has unanimously come to Richie's defense and I think that is very very telling. He also revealed that Martin's best friend on the team was Richie and every time he saw Martin out on the town he was with Richie. That doesn't sound like bullying to me. No it sounds like a total bullsh!t fabrication to me.

Richie is the easy target and this was a contrived plan to exit the NFL. The next phase is suing the Dolphins, the NFL and the NFLPA for a big payday. Racism sells, but only one way--white on black, and rarely the other way around. Can you say Trevon Martin? Just like in this case the media jumped to all kinds of conclusions and condemned the guy without a fair hearing or even a trial. We all know the result. I'm sure I'll get pounded by some of you on this, but if this was a black player saying the same degrading things to another black player, or maybe even a white player, it wouldn't even be a story. This story is about race, but not as the media would have you believe--it's about someone using race as a means to an end. Martin wanted out, and he wanted to get paid, and this was his (or his Harvard educated lawyer parents) plan. The whole thing really stinks.

pretty much what i thought...cog had a few too many pops and drunk dialed martin for no showing...

ooohhh so because he was drunk its perfectly ok?? hahah it just gets funnier n funnier on here. Some of u flip flop so much on its beyond comical now, really its becoming a joke. Doesn't excuse the words used. That word shouldn't be in anyone's vocabulary!

that's fair...but people also use it as a term of endearment among friends...especially young people...just like many other derogatory words...

plus and i know it's not ok when i heard the word half in front of it i kinda wondered if he was really just busting his balls...which is what i really think was the case...and i doubt martin never used a racial slur about whites to cog during their time together...

kinda goes both ways...all signs point to this guy didn't want to play football anymore and was looking for a financial windfall hand out on his way out

I've been with Incognito for the duration of this whole thing, but I honestly don't know how Martin's side can retaliate...

He doesn't have to. Speaking simply from a strategic legal point of view, why would you show your hand early? This isn't a public relations war; this is an accusation of a hostile work environment and it's going to be decided through either mediation, a negotiated settlement agreed to by both sides, or in court room litigation. And much of what some of you think is rock solid circumstantial evidence against Martin, I'd bet can be minimized as a form of Stockholm Syndrome by an expert witness. I know many of you wish it were different, but this thing is probably far from over at this point.

Using the N word as a white dude is forbidden, you dont go there. but its not racist to use it, it's prejudiced, stupid and ignorant!

The way this team has defended Richie speaks volumes about Richie as a person, teammate and leader. Certainly he had been a dirty player in his time in the NFL and NCAA, he also has a smugness and plays with almost rage-like passion. The dude would be my first choice in a bar fight, but probably not my first choice to hang with.

This is a story because of Richies past, his reputation, and a spoken word in a voicemail that noone has heard, other than the phonies fighting this, the unitellectual media and the guys in the locker room. This story is so contrived it's foolish, Martin's camp has a defamation law suit just waiting for them once this BS allegation is found untrue, and so will ESPN!

Locker room dynamics is so much different than the average person could ever digest. I don't know the professional lockerroom, but playing basketball and football from pee wee to highschool and basketball in NCAA, I understand the locker room dynamic, I was also referred to as an "honorary black man" many times even now while being in the military for 14 years, now I didn't use the N word, but when I was there I used 'Brotha' and it was understood, completely. My persona every white dude who has ever thought they knew me called me a "whigger" which was so dumb and made absolutely no sense which made them appear very ignorant and stupid. I'm a laid back dude who loves to surf, listen to classic rock and heavy rock, also hip hop and R n B, loved sports so much I got the most useless degree ever in Sports Management! I always was most comfortable around the brotha's and the sistah's its who I was familiar with. My father is a very reputable and well known lawyer in Miami and I am upper middle class raised, possibly lower upper class, depends on who you ask. My personality and who I am would blow people away when they got to know me, and all I ever heard was I was "I thought you were a Whigger", I just laughed it off at how ignorant and foolish they were.

Now you know me more than you previously even cared, but this draws me back into that locker room dynamic, its brotha's that will do just about anything for you and speak to you in ways noone will and the fights and physicality of practice its all over away from the field of play, that locker room is an allegiance or love for each other, unless you lived it higher than high school you will never understand it........Martin has broken that with these antics! Who in their right mind could ever bring him into another locker room? What employer would ever hire a whistleblower? Once a whistleblower always a whistleblower and you get ex-communicated! He's done son!

Lastly, there also is a huuuuuuuuuuuge difference in the way you end that word, especially with the hip hop generation and younger people further in distance and understanding of what that word originally stood for, if the end rhymes with 'ya' thats aight, if it ends like 'yer' it aint, and is prejudiced and racial!

If these messages happened in April . . . Clabo didn't get signed until May. I mean which is it?

Point is, teammates are going to defend other teammates during media probing. Don't expect it any other way . . . even people who may/may not have been there who are currently apart of the team will defend another member of the team when asked about that person. I mean seriously . . . who is going to come out and "bash" Richie Incognito right now for bullying/character? That only leads to another negative line of questioning.

In all fairness, Incognito is being judged by bad behavior many yrs ago. I don't recall any issues with him (until now) since he joined the team. He hasn't had a penchant for unsportsmanlike conduct penalties like he did his first couple of yrs in the league.
