We sure used to make the cover of Sports Illustrated a lot back in the day. Sad, we suck and SI sucks now too!

I always wanted to get a copy of the AIR RAID cover to frame for my Man-Basement.

Looks like him. I think this was the infamous Mud Bowl (Dolphins - Jets in the AFC Championship, 1983, with the Fins winning 14-0). Feels like a different world, doesn't it?

Speaking of the Mud Bowl, the man of the match was A.J. Duhe, who recorded three interceptions and even ran one of them back for a touchdown.








And here is the man today, holding the pair of boots he wore in that very game (he chose extra-long cleats on account of the rain, and attributes his success at least in part to them). Great days!
