The article is too short to quote but which Dolphins / Jets game was the most memorable for you?
Classic Duals

We have had some aamzing games through the yars, ther arn't many rivalries in the league w/ the amount of excitment we have seen btw these 2 teams. My top 5 favorite Jet-Dolphin games are:
1. 2000- Jets 40 Dolphins 37(OT). Monday Night Miracle. It's hard for this not to top the list. Greatest comeback in Jets history and the most remarkable quarter in Pro Football history coming back from 30-7 in the 4th.
2. 1986- Jets 51 Dolphins 45. Another high scoring whacky game. Wesley Walker caught 3 TDs including the tying score w/ :00 time left and the winning score in OT from Ken O'Brien.
3. 1991- Jets 23 Dolphins 20(OT). This game sent the Jets into the playoffs in '91. The Dolphins scored w/ about 50 seconds left to take a 20-17 lead as Ferrell Edmonds caught a short TD pass from Dan Marino. After a good kick return O'Brien guided the Jets into FG range where Raul Allegre booted the tying FG and then the winning FG in OT.
4. 1981- Jets 16 Dolphins 15. One of my earliest memories as a Jet fan. Richard Todd playing w/ broken ribs guides the Jets on the winning score w/ almost no time left. Hits Jerome Barkum for the winning score.
5. 1998- Jets 21 Dolphins 16. Jets clinch playoff spot and the following week their first AFC East Title. This was the first road game I attended and it remains one of my favorites of all time. Chad Cascadden picked up a Marino fumble w/ just under 2:00 to play to give the Jetsa 21-10 lead. The Dolphins would later score a garbage time TD to make the final 21-16.
nyjunc, I don't see the A.J Duhe game in which he owned Todd! LOL! Or better yet, where is the i'm gonna fake spike ya and throw a quick TD game!
What a Homer!!!! Errr so you are saying all the best games are when you beat the Fins? What a suprise. Un-original methinks. You have picked some great games but get some parity in your football rivalry thoughts pls!
He has every right to be a homer. That's what fans do.
My favorite was the fake spike game. The look on Boomer's face was priceless.
I didn't say "Best" games I said my "Favorite" games. There are plenty of classic games btw us that we lost, if it makes you feel better i'll mention them now.
'82 last second win by Miami at home in reg season.
'82 AFC Championship Game
'84 helicopter tackle of nat Moore game
'85 Marino to Duper
'92 Pete Carroll choke game
'94 fake Spike game
Thats made me feel Better. Happy Xmas nyjunc
P.S that 1986- Jets 51 Dolphins 45 game still haunts me. We were robbed!! Offerdahl had a turnover in OT if i remember that wasnt given.
Merry Christmas to you to.
There was a disputed call but it's close, it probably was a fumble and threy had replay back then but they didn't use it. In the '82 title game Gastineau recovered a fumble and they called it Miami ball, that ws a huge swing since you scored your lone offensive TD on that drive to make it 7-0 so bad calls have gone both ways.
AJ may have scarred you...the meltdown scarred me...
Ok its a draw, 1 each. lol. That Monday nighter in 2000 was a killer for any Fin Fan. :fire:
