Classic Mularkey

As we all know Mularkey does alot of things we hate.

I defended him and now I just wish we would fire him.


I point to a classic Mularkey play in the NY Jets Game.




3rd and 2. We had been running the ball successfully. Also passing well.

So I am fine with decisions such as run straight at them, play action, lineup in a spread offense pass, lineup in spread offense and run, lineup in a normal package and pass, anything except what he did.

A sort of gadget play where I think we lineup up shotgun, had a guard and center pull out left and tossed the ball to Brown on the left side. It was so slow developing that Brown was hit in the backfield for a loss with zero blockers and 2 Jets players in there before he was.

Our oline is all 320+ guys, not agile. The left side had been the weak side of blocking.



I probably have some things incorrect about this play but correct me and if you happen to have a clip of it post it please. Thanks.

This is an example of just horrible play calls he comes up with where he tries to trick the other team but just tricks himself. This was the final straw for me and I no longer defend him saying he is a good OC.

correction: the runner was not brown (who was on fire) it was Slammin Sammie Morris. And bye the way we saw that play I believe against the Texans and Ronnie was also thrown for a 3 yard loss on 3rd and short. At least Mularkey's consistent.

It's the same play on third and two that lost us the Pittsburgh game. Remember we had the lead and were driving in 4 down territory and they ran this play and then punted. Momentum shifted with 6 min left and we lost.Mularkey is an idiot.
