How good is this team if these 3 become legit Pro Bowl Caliber players?

The oppurtunity and potential is there. Odrick and Jones reaching potential makes this defense downright scary. Clay could become a number 1
target and make us forget about Marshall.

Big IFs but not far fetched to think its possible. Imo We are a playoff caliber team if these 3 would improve to star status. Then its up to QB to take us to SB!

When was the last time this team had 3 pro bowlers and that might answer your question.

Oddrick is the only one IMO that has a real shot at becoming a pro bowler...

Clay is a good player but he is not Elite enough to make the pro bowl...but then again anything can happen and he could become and alternate...But I dont think he has the size and or speed to be a force like that in this league...

and Jones Supermarkbros is right.....Jones has to become a decent starter at first.

Long, Porter, Brown?

Pro bowl is a popularity contest. If they're good "fantasy" players chances are they get voted in. You can't tell me that Roy Williams (both of them, offense and defense) were pro bowl worthy. The offensive player had one big season in Detroit and the defensive player played for the Cowboys who have a ridiculous number of fans and voted him in...even though he was pure garbage in coverage.

I don't think Brown ever made the pro bowl. Maybe Madison, Taylor and Thomas was the last time.

2003 - JT, Zach, Madison, Bowens, Surtain, Brock Marion, and Ricky (7 players) and we didn't even make the playoffs that year. PATHETIC!

Your response to a What If? question.

Of course all the players the OP mentioned have to become quality starters/players for them to make the pro bowl but the question he asked ,IMO, already assumed that.

JT, Zach, and Ricky off the top of my head and we didnt even make the playoffs that year.

Jake Long, Randy Starks and Cameron Wake in 2010.

I pretty much agree with you, except on Clay. Clay showed a lot in limited oppurtunity last year. A real offseason this year...bigger role..and if he just plays like last year
his numbers go up.

Odrick imo is a lock for a breakout year.

Jones..I wanna see the same atleast. But knowing the history of Jones and watching how he has progressed...signs are positive. pro bowl caliber?? Idk but
once again potential and oppurtunity is there.

I know potential is over rated and you can really point anyone out and say well what "if" the become stars. But with these 3 they have all shown flashes and
have real oppurtunity to sieze the moment. Pro bowl voting is a popularity contest...just cause you dont get voted on doesnt mean your not pro bowl caliber.

You never know. Some players take a few years to reach their potential.

I wouldn't say us reaching the playoffs is linked to those three though.

If the UM DE who can be lined up opposite Cam and the new TE play well and if they find someone to play opposite Vontae (Who is NOT Sean Smith) I think we can get to the wildcard round.

Brown made it the year he had the big "Wildcat" game against the Pats. Y Bell and Carpenter were added as alternates a few years back and that made 3 that year.

Thats silly. The others have at least shown flashes, I can get with that.

Hey maybe Wallace and Marlon Moore will become pro bowlers too...maybe we can pass go and go straight to the super bowl this year.

2003 was the last time we had 3 or more in the pro bowl...Zach Thomas, Patrick Surtain, Brock Marion and Adewale Ogunleye and we were 10-6 that year, no playoffs. Ricky went in 2002 along with Zach, Jason Taylor, Sam Madison, Brock Marion and Tim Bowens we were 9-7 that year but finished first in the division (tied with the Pats and Jets but we owned the tie breaker), we lost in the first round of the playoffs.
