Clay,Odrick,Jones...

Brown made it the year he had the big "Wildcat" game against the Pats. Y Bell and Carpenter were added as alternates a few years back and that made 3 that year.
You're right, I stand corrected. Brown, Long, Porter did make it in 2008...the last time we were in the playoffs. I couldn't find Ronnie's name on the list.

You never know. Some players take a few years to reach their potential.

I wouldn't say us reaching the playoffs is linked to those three though.

If the UM DE who can be lined up opposite Cam and the new TE play well and if they find someone to play opposite Vontae (Who is NOT Sean Smith) I think we can get to the wildcard round.

Odrick will be lined up opposite Cam majority of the time. I hope the UM DE can show flash in his limited oppurtunites. Odrick has the ability to become
our best D players.

Jones a pro bowler? Lets pump the brakes and hope he becomes a capable starter first.

i have the patent for "pump the brakes" :)

truths got it right...popularity contest...you usually when you're off the radar have to play like a pro bowler for a year before you're ever recognized like one...

Thats silly. The others have at least shown flashes, I can get with that.

Hey maybe Wallace and Marlon Moore will become pro bowlers too...maybe we can pass go and go straight to the super bowl this year.

Now you are the one talking silly. If you don't think Jones has atleast shown flashes then you haven't been paying attention.

As far as Roberto Wallace and Marlon Moore...who knows. No one in the NFL thought Miles Austin would go from 13 receptions in 2008 to 81 receptions and the Pro Bowl one year later.

Negative. I stole it from Jorge Sedano and passed it off as my own :chuckle:

Your telling me Jones hasnt even flashed???????

As a rookie he played limited, yet made some plays. Last year started and went through his growing pains but you would have to think he learned alot. The
talent is there. You think this staff just gave him the starting job at safety this early in offseason without showing anything?? 3rd year is a big one.

In practice? Sure, lots of guys do.

I may not be working as hard as I should right now, but I definately dont have enough free time to debate whether Reshad Jones, of all people, is going to be a pro bowler.

Looks lost to me. And I wouldnt read too much into having the starting job. Our safeties are rough.

That's the problem...no one is debating, atleast not in this thread, if Jones is going to be a Pro Bowler. The OP asked IF he became a pro bowler.

I understand what your sayin. He is the least likely of the 3 I named to reach this status.

But Ive watched his development on the Phins, and seen him a few times in college, and the talent and skill is there. Not just a YB type player. Jones has real
playmaking type ability. FF, INTs, and sacks.

Looked lost?? Yea prolly so in year two/ 1st time starter/ lockout. but this is a "what if" post...so what if finds his place?

2003 was the last time we had 3 or more in the pro bowl

Not true, in fact the Dolphins have sent at least 3 players to the Pro Bowl the past four seasons.

2011 - Long, Soliai, Marshall
2010 - Long, Wake, Starks, Denney
2009 - Long, Bell, Carpenter
2008 - Long, Brown, Porter

In 2007, only Jason Taylor made the Pro Bowl.

2006 - Taylor, Thomas
2005 - Taylor, Thomas, Chambers
2004 - Taylor, Surtain
2003 - Ogunleye, Marion, Surtain, Thomas
2002 - Bowens, Madison, Marion, Surtain, Taylor, Thomas, Williams
2001 - Madison, Thomas
2000 - Armstrong, Izzo, Madison, Marion, Ruddy, Taylor, Thomas

The Dolphins have sent at least one player to the Pro Bowl for the past 14 years and 30 of the past 31 seasons.
