"Former Cowboys and Panthers linebacker Darren Hambrick had a workout for the Dolphins on Friday. After three hard months of training, Hambrick is trying to make a return to the NFL after being away from the game for several years. Hambrick was an active tacklers who once had 154 tackles with the Cowboys during one season. He had some off-the-field incidents, but he's put those problem behind him and is trying to get back into football. The Dolphins continue to look for help. They are close to signing former Vikings linebacker Keith Newman Friday. It isn't known what they will do with Hambrick after the workout."

Interesting that we are signing Keith Newman, I think he is a decent LB who has starting experience. I know some of you guys are going to get on here and say OMG that is terrible, but their are no more superstar guys out there, and we didn't feel depth through the draft. A guy like Newman not only brings depth but experience, and can only make the competition for the other LB spot that much better. Let Spragan, Hodge, Pope and Newman or Hambrick battle it out, no bad can come out of that.

Its very deep.At least the post is.

PS.That happens sometimes when you use the edit feature. Its like a box of chocolates .You never know what you are going to get.

Keith Newman probably means the end of the talks with the Saints about Watson.

I agree. We are moving on to other alternatives.

Never heard of Darren Hambrick before. Was he a productive LB when he played?

Newman sounds like he will be a good signing. He had 8 sacks in his 2nd year. I'm guess he is a LB that does a good job at blitzing because he gets about 3 sacks per year.

But it means we are still stuck with Moore. :(

.

We will have to cut him probably.ObvioUsly he is not in our plans .

I Dont think he will get a job as a bouncer.

The Dolphins can always cut him later if they can't find another sucker... I mean, trading partner, willing to take him off their hands. But unless there's several injuries, I don't see him on the roster come the start of the season, especially if Saban signs a FA LB or two.
