4. Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins have all the makings of a team that should make a dramatic jump. Their .512 schedule should play out a little easier than expected. Technically, the Dolphins play the easiest schedule in the AFC East, and the tougher schedules played by the Patriots, Jets and Bills should drag down the overall record of their opponents. Miami's non-common opponents are the Raiders and Texans, both winnable games. Most of the Dolphins' tough games are at home. Just going off schedule adjustments, Miami could end up with a .477 schedule, which could make it one of the easiest in the AFC.

The move to get Trent Green should push the Dolphins over 20 points a game, which puts them in range for a dramatic improvement. RB Ronnie Brown should have his best year working with Cam Cameron. Despite advancing age, the Dolphins ranked No. 8 in overall defense last season. What the Dolphins can't do is get lured into thinking they've totally turned everything around. Next year, they play the AFC West and NFC West, which should make for a tough 2008 season.

I hope we put up 20+ and then our D holds them to under 20 so we can win!

I guess I appreciate the positive press but the guy totally contradicted himself.
In the first paragraph he says that we have one of the easiest schedules in the AFC so we should improve dramatically. Then in the second paragraph he says that we can't get our hopes up too much because we play the AFC west and the NFC west so we will have a tough season.
Anyone else pick up on that?

Read again. The last sentence is about the 2008 season, not this season.

In 2008 we play the Wests... That's what he was talking about.

Funny how teams rarely live up to their preseason hype (good or bad) basically what teams did last years doesn't mean they'll do the same the following year. Every year we go into the season and give everyone the same respect or disrespect as the previous season in other words...blah, blah, blah. We'll just have to wait and see how easy the schedule is or isn't when they actually play the games. I would like to add I don't care what other teams do or how good or bad they are, I just want the Dolphins to improve their offense. We do that and we will win more games.

20+ points against the Raiders? I doubt it. They have a Very good defense.

Not really, their offense was just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO poor last year that teams did not even have to try very hard to win games against them. Their defensive stats were artificially inflated by how poor the offense was. They were barely middle of the pack in scoring defense... and were not very good at takeaways.

Tell ya what...gimme 9-7 and a chance to make the playoffs and keep it interesting....I'll sign for that.

So Clayton thinks that the Fins should average 20 points a game ... obviously he hasn't taken a good look at Miami's OL.
