Here is a video link for the Fins midseason report card. He goes though the Pats, Jets, and Bills first but it was actually pretty good.

He says our rookie corners are playing well and so is Henne. He also says that we are using the wildcat to much and that it is probably preventing Henne from getting into a rythm. I tend to agree with him on this. He also says that after going from 1-15 to 11-5 there is bound to be some regression due to the tougher schedule. All in all I think a B- is about right for this midseason grade.

Revised

I am also posting a link from Tim Graham's blog on ESPN about our midseason report card. He doesn't give grades but he bashes Ginn, Crowder and Wilson and praises Ricky, Ronnie, and Hartline. Gotta agree with him on that.

Disappointments: Aside from Pennington's absence, Miami's inability to acquire help at receiver has been detrimental. Ted Ginn Jr. has proven time and again he's not capable of being a No. 1 receiver. He's one of the NFL's fastest players, but he can't catch and wilts to avoid contact. The rest of Miami's receiving corps is comprised of reliable pass-catchers with marginal big-play abilities. On defense, inside linebacker Channing Crowder has been all talk, little action. He can tackle, but players at his position need to make plays. Crowder has no sacks, interceptions, forced fumbles or recoveries. Free safety Gibril Wilson, one of their big free-agent signings, has been an abysmal tackler.
Surprises: Ricky Williams is keeping up with the much younger Ronnie Brown. Williams has 644 yards from scrimmage and seven touchdowns. Brown has 648 yards and seven touchdowns. But Williams has 46 fewer combined carries and receptions (can't say touches when you're talking about a Wildcat guy). Rookie receiver Brian Hartline was the second receiver the Dolphins drafted in April, but the third-rounder from Ohio State has supplanted fellow Buckeye Ginn in the starting lineup. Although Hartline has only 11 receptions, he owns the Dolphins' longest reception so far and is averaging a team-high 15.9 yards a catch.

One thing, Hartline was a 4th round pick, not 3rd. Can't be posting such inaccuracies if it's your JOB to get that kind of stuff right.

I always have hated Crowder. He's typically the first guy I trade away in Madden ha.

Also, I disagree about Gibril Wilson, partly. When I've seen him hit, he ****ing hits, and that's the one thing I like most about the defense is their aggression.

I think that B- is actually pretty generous. My hunch is that Parcells would grade the team a C. The record is what it is - 3 wins from 8 games (and lots of close finishes). We have the second half of the season to turn it around.

You mean Gibril "toast" Wilson? I hope he plays better in the real (Madden) game than on sunday's.

Yes I go with C because we have played tough but our records says who we are.

At least he has us rated better than the Jets.

And who is Steve Smith? I wonder if he is related to Sean Smith.

Clayton is on the money with his analysis. I'm glad that some people outside of the local media is aware of the fact that we have two rookie corners that are doing a great job.

Exactly right. This is why I love Clayton. I seem to agree with him on just about everything Dolphins.

If they didn't over use the formation we could probably get bigger plays out of it, and not keep taking CH out of rhythm every other play.

yes, Gibril can hit and can hit hard, but he cant wrap up and tackle for ****. If the guy doesnt go down when Gibril nails him, its off to the races.
