Clayton: Tannehill will have more success than Luck but not RG3

None of these talking heads from ESPN or the NFLN really know how any QB will turn out. You can research these guys all you want but it is hard to measure heart, desire and effort and things that you cannot measure at the combines. If measuring QB's was an exact science than Tom Brady never would have fallen to the #199 spot. With that said, I am damn excited we drafted Tannehill.

A little misleading header Bama; Clayton is talking about initial success, thinks Luck is the better QB, but that if T/hill wins the job, based on familiarity with the system and the better roster than Indy, he will initially have more wins, although RG3 is best positioned for initial success. Similarly he is not saying that RG3 will be the long term better QB either, although he might believe that, just circumstantially he's got the most to work with.

Yeah, from what I read it just means he thinks Tanny is in a better position talent wise with the team he was drafted with vs. the amount of Talent the Colts have to start off. The 2-14 season was a great indicator of how untalented they really were and how talented Peyton really was. I don't know if the Skins are more talented than the Phins though...we shall see this year won't we?

That being said I hope Tanny does pan out to be a top tier QB for the Phins for many years to come. I hate not having a true franchise QB, I wanna buy a QB jersey ****it!! Haven't had one since Mario :p

Chalk this one under too early to tell. Plus, good or bad, don't believe ESPN.

I understand two things. A sports writer has to write something abut something everyday.

And OMG, it is OK to throw the Redskins a bone.

The thing is, I feel like Tannehill has a higher potential celing than any QB in this class, including Luck. The question is whether or not he'll reach it. Part of what makes Luck such a special prospect is his lack of a floor. He's the closest thing to a sure thing at QB to come out since Peyton. He's a very low risk prospect. Tannehill is a bigger risk, but he also has the bigger potential reward.

I was actually thinking the oppisite. I think tanny will be better the RG3 but Luck will be a beast. Maybe not this year but 3-4 years down the line i think it will be Luck Tanny RG3

they all say the skins are a better team. i guess they arent the experts they are suppose to be. we have a better line, back field, te's. they have names at wr but noone i would be scared of. and our d is top 10
