Clayton: Tannehill will have more success than Luck but not RG3

Clayton states in the article that he's talking about success this season and he's talking about success based on wins. He's basiccy saying the Redskins will win more than the Dolphins, and the Dolphins more than the Colts. I wouldn't read too much more than that into it.

"Tannehill does have a chance to get more wins than Luck because of the statuses of their teams. The Colts are in rebuilding mode. The Dolphins have better talent. If Tannehill can do well enough to win the starting job, he could get to six or seven wins faster than Luck, even though Luck is the better quarterback. Of the three, Robert Griffin III has the best chance of winning more games because I think the Redskins have more talent than the Dolphins and Colts."

Clayton is just repeating what MANY people have been saying.

I agree about Luck being a beast. I fully expect him to play better than rg3 this season. Rg3 is being hyped so much, nothing is gauranteed. I can easily see rg3 struggling and having a bad year. I can't see Luck struggling. He looks built to deal with adversity.

I don't have any idea how Tannehil will do. It's going to be exciting watching what we got.

A little misleading header Bama; Clayton is talking about initial success, thinks Luck is the better QB, but that if T/hill wins the job, based on familiarity with the system and the better roster than Indy, he will initially have more wins, although RG3 is best positioned for initial success. Similarly he is not saying that RG3 will be the long term better QB either, although he might believe that, just circumstantially he's got the most to work with.

EXACTLY, I understand why people intentionally write misleading or "partially accurate" headers to their threads so they'll get more views, but it is more than a little annoying.....

Tannehill has the arm talent...what I'm not sure of is if he has the mental toughness when the chips are down. All the great ones, including luck I believe, have this quality.

Phins will give tannehill every weapon possible to assure his success ...... just up to him to put in work

This is the key to his success or failure. With a full compliment of OTA's, Camp and the Pre-season we should get a very good idea of what he is. While we could have his favorite target already on the team, I firmly believe his favorite target comes from next years draft. Which will coincide with his first start in 2013. Yes. Next season. Not this season. This season belongs to Matt Moore or David Garrard or both.

Clayton is by far the worst writer at ESPN, he really knows nothing, he's a nerdy little **** that gets enamored with star power...guy's never played a day of football in his life

If He has the 'IT' factor like T Brady or all the great QBs than Tannehill can be as good as anyone because he has all the tools necessary to be a good one.
