Clean house... AND DO IT RIGHT THIS TIME!

Couldn't agree more...

Need to give Philbin more than a year and a half man. Or any coach for that matter... You can't have that kind of turnover and be successful.

Agree! Blowing up the team every 2-3 years is what has gotten us to this point. Give somebody a fricking chance man! Incognito was not even brought in under Philbin. Sheesh.

We're a joke. The philosophy of this team has just been turned on it's head.

I believe someone more than Incognito and Martin will be sacrificed here. Neither player will be back.

"Culture" is a reflection of it's coach we keep hearing.

Regardless of what Philbin et al. attempts to promote, it seems the true colors are in view of the entire nation.

Something has got to give.

The season is over.

It's not just about results on the field, it's also about commanding the respect of the players in the locker room and displaying the ability to lead those men.

I do not feel as if he's done this well.

It takes a few years before the team becomes a reflection of its coach. It doesn't just happen instantly. And no the season is not over, sorry!

Our team plays hard every week for Philbin. I just haven't seen anything to give your statement about the players respect of Philbin any credence.

We will all FINALLY get our wish. Ireland, Philbin, Turner and Sherman might as will put their houses up for sale right now. They are done, toast, finished. They need to get a Bill Cowher, John Gruden or Mike Holmgren in here to bring back some credibility back to this now-cursed franchise. Stephen Ross would be well advised to fire these guys now. This is already a lost season as far as I am concerned.

Wtf does the last 13 years have to do with being in position this season? Did I say we look like world beaters? Did you think that before the season began? Maybe you did, and that wouldn't surprise me.

Most of us thought we'd be in the mix, and guess what, we are.

I never thought they'd be a great team. And that's the problem. Ireland has been here more than long enough to make this team a real contender, and he hasn't. You say we're "in the mix" in the mix for what? Possibly sneaking in the playoffs, and losing in the first round again? I seriously doubt they get in, but that's the likely scenario if they do. Is that really gonna make you happy? "Yay, my team was in the playoffs for 5 minutes, and I was able to get this cute little t-shirt that says playoffs on it!" **** that. They should be gunning for a Super Bowl by now.

You saw it when Karlos Dansby went to the press last season and complained about the Chad Johnson releasing.

I'm not defending the behavior or disagreeing with the cutting of the player but just giving you an example, a credible one at that, of an instance in which Joe Philbin's authority was publicly undermined.

Could that have been a reflection of the climate in the locker room shared by many other players towards the head coach?

Yeah I remember that. And, I agree, it didn't look good that he seemed to be undermined by some vets on the team. But then Joe Philbin systematically dismantled the "leadership council" for going to bat for a guy that needed to be cut and probably the undermining you speak of. I believe the actions Philbin took demand respect. And now he's allowed other Vets to step up and take those leadership roles. I'd say that hasn't happened totally yet, we do lack a little bit of vet leadership. Especially when one of our main vets is a total mouth breather (incog). But hopefully that changes soon.

What's amazing to me is the love for Ireland around here. We could have 5 more losing seasons and those lovers would still make excuses for him. We could have a scandal every year and the lovers would still defend him. At the end of the day, what has he done for this team that is so amazing?

Ozzy rules!!

Dude, no one here is going to bat for Ireland himself. Like hes some top GM or something. There are some Philbin fans here though that like the direction this team is headed since he got here. Philbin is likely done if the GM goes so yeah, I'd rather not see Ireland get fired.

To Irelands credit though, I like our recent drafts and some of these players from prior to Philbin are turning out. Remember how many people would **** on Odrick? Looks worthy of that selection now. His drafts haven't been the complete mud people portray them as. Although not great, let me make that clear...

Look if you're not a fan of Tanne or Philbin, you're probably not going to agree with me here. Just giving an explanation as to why some people here might seem like they want Ireland to stay. For most of us it is because a change at GM would mean a change at a lot of other parts of our team. I'm not ready to give up on PHilbin or Tanne, not even close.

Fins up!

I am ready to give up on them all. Fire them both. Fire them all. No one in this draft is making an impact except for a 5th round kicker. Philbin would rather clean up gum wrappers and rid this team of leaders and stand up guys like Bush, Burnett, and Dansby rather than policing HIS locker room and Incognito. Not to mention this supposed offensive guru has an offense in the bottom half of the league AGAIN. No need to keep around dead weight. Start fresh, rid yourselves of the losers.

The IRONY, we get rid of MARSHALL and DAVIS but keep the lowest of creeps in INCOGNITO and JIMMY WILSON?

This organization has fallen so low. What story is next?

I bet Pouncey's involvement with Hernandez won't be pretty either...
