Clean house... AND DO IT RIGHT THIS TIME!

This has to be the lowest point in the franchise's history. Maybe it's not as bad as the Hernandez murder case with the Pats, but this is a big black eye for the entire organization. As a lifelong fan I just feel sick.

Get ready for the Gruden boys.
I like Gruden. Not sure Philbin is gone though. But if I could change for Gruden I would. I would also do it as soon as possible rather than after the season. Get time on your side for "a change".

I was literally trembling with anger when I heard transcripts of Incognito's voice message. And this is a guy Joe Philbin put on the "leadership counsel", but didn't want Reggie Bush, Karlos Dansby or even Devon Bess.

Maybe not as bad as the Hernandez murder case? Are you kidding? Like putting bounties on players kind of black eye?

You feel worse now than you did at 1-15? Talk about a jaded spots fan

Dude, no one here is going to bat for Ireland himself. Like hes some top GM or something. There are some Philbin fans here though that like the direction this team is headed since he got here. Philbin is likely done if the GM goes so yeah, I'd rather not see Ireland get fired.

To Irelands credit though, I like our recent drafts and some of these players from prior to Philbin are turning out. Remember how many people would **** on Odrick? Looks worthy of that selection now. His drafts haven't been the complete mud people portray them as. Although not great, let me make that clear...

Look if you're not a fan of Tanne or Philbin, you're probably not going to agree with me here. Just giving an explanation as to why some people here might seem like they want Ireland to stay. For most of us it is because a change at GM would mean a change at a lot of other parts of our team. I'm not ready to give up on PHilbin or Tanne, not even close.

Fins up!

Unfortunately for Philbin, he was set up to fail from the start when they kept Ireland. I agree that under different circumstances he should be given longer time to prove himself, but if bringing in a new GM means Philbin's gotta go, so be it. I wouldn't be totally opposed to the new GM keeping him around, but keeping Ireland for fear of losing Philbin is silly.

Unfortunately for you, Ireland tenure here was reset when he received an extension. Not a "one year prove it" extension. But an actual extension.

Ireland, will not be let go this season. Even if we finish 8-8. Sorry bud...

You know, much like Incognito's family posts on these boards, I don't doubt that Ireland's family does, too. Anyway, a contract extension means nothing. Ross can fire him whenever he pleases.

Did I just get subtly accused of being related to Jeff Ireland because I stated the obvious? Awesome day indeed :)

cleaning house in the front office for this is a stupid notion.

For this alone maybe, but pile on the fact that the team is still nowhere near contending for a Super Bowl, and has been a national joke for a while, and you have more than good reason.

Only dumb fans would EXPECT us to be superbowl contenders in the 2nd season after a coaching staff change. Too bad the majority on this board fit that mold.

No where near? We've beaten two teams that are SB contenders this year (according to analysts). And should've beaten two others... We've got an up and coming QB with a lot of talent around him. We have one big weakness and that is on the OLine. Other than that I don't see one position group on the field that I would consider -weak-.

Please, instead of ****ting on our team. How about providing some reasons as to why you think the team you root for is so damn bad? I mean, everyone has their opinions, whats yours? other than were bad, fire everyone..

As I stated before, I'm not totally opposed to the new GM keeping Philbin. However, the new guy will more than likely want to bring in his own guy, and if that's the case, so be it. Philbin hasn't shown to be anything spectacular, but whatever. I'm more concerned with the guy that acquires the talent. He should have built a contender by now.

I love how when something goes wrong with this team, everyone screams to clean house! Dont you realize how much further that's going to set us back?! And then when the new regime doesnt make the playoffs in two years...you'll want them fired too!

The only legitimate thing to do is cut Incognito and move on. This embarrassing episode should not be placed on anyone else other than Richie and/or anyone else involved.

There isnt going to be a new GM because we have a dumbass racist prick as a player.

Tannehill may be "up and coming" but he hasn't gotten anywhere yet. Until he proves he's not the turnover/sack machine we've been seeing, I don't wanna hear about how our QB position has been solved. Our OL is trash, our linebackers suck, running game is spotty, our receiving core leaves a lot to be desired. Ireland had to spend on free agents to try and bring in the playmakers he hasn't drafted in his 5 years here, and we're currently sitting at a meager 4-4. Why haven't they dominated any of the games they won? Why couldn't they beat Buffalo at home with a third string QB?
