In the evening session in the bubble, Chris Clemons had two picks and another near-pick that would have been a pick-6. This is according to Armando's practice report. Interestingly, the other beat writers have Clemons with one pick and one near pick. Either way, that's a pretty impressive practice for the youngster.

By the way, all the picks and near-picks were of Chad Henne throws.

Smith, promoted to first team earlier in the day, had a pretty uneventful practice save the little pushing he got into with Ronnie Brown when he brought Brown to the ground on one team drill play.

I like this! Intense practice! :D

I think Smith's bro lets him know what folks on the boards are saying about him. Maybe this was his attempt to show us he can be more physical than he's given credit for. :)

I, for one, am guilty for calling him out on this. Nice to hear that he is being more physical. I may have to eat my own words if he keeps this up.

I've been waiting for Clemons to have an all out practice like that. He seems prone to them. Armando says he's been around the ball all the time since camp started. The other writers seem to disagree.

Brown would kill him

Good to hear. I was very happy when we drafted him, and have high hopes for him as our future starter at FS. Great coverage guy who will fly around the field and get you picks, as opposed to Bell and Wilson who are great run stoppers and tacklers. Here's hoping he earns some playing time as a Dime Safety.

I dunno. Without the actual video to look at, who knows? Way to lead us into the new millenium NFL! ****ing gives us lob passes in the flat for practice highlight fodder!

I mean isn't that your mantra practically; 'This is a show me sport'

Well then ****ing show me already

I'm glad to hear about Clemons. Makes me wonder what the chances of fielding three rookies in the dime package might be?

Rookie Brian Hartline had a gorgeous one-hand catch on the move on a post pattern.

Hartline is really starting to grow on me.

thats the first thing ive hear about Crowder all of camp...glad he decided to show up.

Actually, earlier reports have said that Channing Crowder is all over the place out there. Another thing about Crowder was pointed out earlier, and that was an emphasis on how good he is in coverage.

Moses seems to be starting to come on as well.
