Not my finest post but I honestly don't know if anyone's posted these and I certainly had to root through about 20 historical gamebooks to compile them so I thought I'd post them.

The first four lines are his preseason records...first three from San Diego, then one in Miami. He never appeared in a preseason game with the Ravens.

2003 PS: 20 of 39 (51.2%), 267 yds (6.8 ypa), 1 TD, 2 INT - 60.5 rtg
2004 PS: 17 of 27 (62.9%), 178 yds (6.6 ypa), 0 TD, 1 INT - 66.6 rtg
2005 PS: 34 of 49 (69.4%), 369 yds (7.5 ypa), 4 TD, 0 INT - 118.5 rtg
2006 PS: 42 of 60 (70.0%), 450 yds (7.5 ypa), 2 TD, 0 INT - 102.8 rtg
2006 RS: 9 of 16 (56.3%), 98 yds (6.1 ypa), 0 TD, 0 INT - 74.5 rtg

Total: 122 of 191 (63.9%), 1362 yds (7.1 ypa), 7 TD, 3 INT - 90.7 rtg

Also during that time has been sacked 13 times, had 16 runs for 63 yards.

Total QB Rating of 90.7 through 15 appearances.

He hasn't thrown an official interception in 137 pass attempts...over 3 years.

I've not posted this just to rehash a "Cleo should start!!!" or "Joey sucks!!!" debate.

I just really think these stats aren't readily available, and yet they are pretty interesting. Notice the improvement in completion percentage every year he's been in the league. His QB rating has been gradually trending upward too.

He probably would have been more like 9 of 12 for 98 yards in the game the other day had there been time to run the ball in for the score.

thanks. i like lemon, dont see why we dont give him a shot to see what he has to offer. the seasons over, maybe hed be a bright ending

There has to be a hitch. Is it that he cannot grasp the playbook quickly, or is it something else. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing the guy put in for the last couple of games.....

It really is odd though how much he has progressed. In college, Cleo Lemon barely held a 50% completion percentage.

i was at the game and it sure was a different feeling when lemon was in there instead of joey.

I liked a couple of the decisions he made in the game. Chambers dropped a nice comeback route and also had a shot a TD at the end of the game. He seemed to throw more CC way. I was surely going to start CC this wk in FF if Cleo was going to play. Because I really don't have a good third option.

Saban FINALLY said something about Mularkey being too conservative and Joey not throwing it deep when the plays were called. Hopefully that lit a fire under a few people's butts. A little late though... I like that Saban doesn't make Kneejerk reactions. If the player continues to play poorly he will take them out.

I have said since we acquired him that there is something about him and I would love to see him play. Granted I have'nt seen alot of him, unfortunatley, but he definitley deserves a shot to start cuz who knows...

completion % and ypa have been going up in the preseason, but played against other 3rd stringers. If he started a game, I'm guessing he's more like a 55-60% percent guy with 7 yrds per completion.

I have also noted since cleo's arrival how all the coaches saban included have praised lemon's talents. It is a tough decision to pull joey I am sure as his confidence was just coming back from his years at detroit, but I would like to see Cleo play. His passes just seem to have a lot more zip on they than joeys.

Hey CK, just for poops and grins, would you tell me what his QB rating would have been if Chambers had completed the two drops (the comeback for ten yards, and the fade pattern for a touchdown) in the Bills game? I know it would of added 13 yards to his total and a TD, but I don't pretend to understand the QB rating.

Boy, CK if Rick Spielman, sees this, it's guaranteed we get a first round for Cleo. I'm curious is there any other current third stringers with numbers that comparable to Cleo ? And would you mind calling the Nick Saban Show on Thursday and point this out to him, and see what he says..

Where was your posts last week after the Pats game CK?

Did you even read the entire post. Especially when CK said "I've not posted this just to rehash a "Cleo should start!!!" or "Joey sucks!!!" debate." And here I was wondering why he even said that..I guess he knew..

According to an article I read about Lemon, one of Cleo's problems early on in his career was that he threw every pass about 95 mph, whether the receiver was deep downfield or 5 yards away. It was in SD that he began to understand how to put touch on the ball. His arm is supposed to be electric, and he reportedly can make throws that about 95% of the QB's in the NFL can't.
