I know everyone will hate me for saying so but I reckon whoever picks up Cleo Lemon will get a player still improving (he'll join Cam). I recognise that it would be impossible to sell signing him for another 2 years to the Miami fanbase (except me), but doing that would be far better than giving up draft picks to get a veteran QB. If Anderson for the no.1 ever happened I would just give up on this front-office. Build for the long-term, take BPA. No trades for players that involve high draft picks...unless we get the picks (OK, Randy Moss did look useful for a No.4 pick). And stop with this Dallas giving up a sack-load of draft picks and a pro-bowl RB for McFadden. Anyone who did this would be laughed out of the league!

Cleo is awful and I lost all respect for him in that New England game. I don't care that we are down 28-7 and our record is 1-13, the fact that he ran out of bounds on a 4th and goal rather then extending his body for the pylon is INEXCUSABLE.

I hope Cleo never gets to start again. His arrogance and self absorbtion was sickening at times.

Sure, he has a future somewhere, as a good backup guy. He's one of those QBs that you like having on your team, just not as your franchise QB...He's simply not that good. He can't make all the throws and doesn't see the field very well. Other than that, he's a good player...just not a good starter...He's proven that...

What showed you he deserved a return to the team? Was it his 1-14 overall winning record during his 5 years in the league, perhaps the way he runs out of balls for 7 yard losses instead of throwing it away, or was it his incredibly horrible accuracy on both the deep and short to intermediate balls?

A little harsh, but I agree with the intent. Who cares where he goes, hopefully nothing to do with a Dolphins CHAT line. Who ever thought a Lemon would be Miami's starter. Talk about a hard time replacing Marino.

I agree he is not the answer to our QB need. I still hope that will prove to be John Beck. But I don't see a lot better than Cleo in free agency. I thought he got better during the year, although I agree the accuracy issue is significant. He also is inexperienced as a starter. And he had no-one to throw to and the blocking towards the end of the year was dire when blitzes were called. His 1-14 record was down mainly to Cam and Randy and Wanny and Saban and Spielman.
I am not sure how we will fix the QB issue, although I don't want us to trade for someone else's reject.

I'm not here to be original, I'm here to tell you how I really feel.

But you pretty much hit it on the head, bye bye, Cleo.

I agree with you for 2 reasons. Trent Green nor John Beck certainly did not look better. Beck still gets a nod because he was a rookie. Clemon did make the bone head mistakes every keeps beinging up but he at least was not getting sacked or throwing the ball away every other play like the other 2. he was trying to make something happen. Beck and Trent were just not mobile enough to stay away from all the pressure. Plus I do beleive it was the players not the coach that wanted Cleo to take back over for Beck at QB. Why because they knew Cleo gave them the best chance to win not Beck and they wanted to win at least one game.

Watch as the Pats get him to be the backup QB, replace Brady as he goes on a weekend getaway with his supermodel girlfriend and throw 5 TD passes to Randy Moss and co.:lol::lol:

This would only happen because Moss can leap 20 feet in the air as Lemon would be consistently over throwing him up down left and right...
