Im curious if anyone has seen Cleo Lemon practice or if you've heard anything about how he is progressing. Im wondering if he can really contribute or if he is being overhyped by a lot of fans.

On a side note, Im not sure if it's been posted, but Fred Gibson was released yesterday. I guess he really didnt have the talent we were hoping for.
 
They had him playing vick while practicing for atlanta. From tape i've seen he's not a running QB, be he is definatly mobile. I would not expect much from him though, it takes a while to learn a new system, add that it's the middle of the year and they are no longer teaching. I do know that mueller and saban will have a better understanding of his abilities, and he could see some playing time, though i doubt he will get a start.
 
i dont know why everyone is so high on him... i guess cause the reports were that marty in SD really didn't want to get rid of him, and after preseason he might have been the number 2 QB ahead of rivers with how good he played, and how poor rivers did... but i dont know anything about the kid being that ive never seen him play, so i dont expect much
 
if gus is out on sunday and sage gets somehow hurt, you will see him play

why is everyone so high on Sage...1 throw for 77 yards??? If i remember correctly the Ravens destroyed him last year

That's pretty much why everyone is high on him. He's only played in the preseason games. The "hidden" QB's always get hype. I'm high on him because of that. :lol:

He had a really good Preseason game or 2. But so did brock berlin....Rivers with his sales tag would never slip to third. Especially when he gets all the snaps so they can develop him. My hope is that he have a rough diamond, but if it turns out to be a lump of quartz you wont see me crying. It's not like we gave up much for him.

That's the only game he's ever started in the NFL. The Ravens defense isn't a joke either. Everyone destroyed us last year.

Considering we didn't have a O-line and running game that scared anyone...I'm surprised he didn't get knocked into next sunday.
 
I saw him play a preaseason game against the Packers. He tore them up. I told my friend that night that he should watch out for Cleo Lemon. He said he never heard of him. A few months later and the Dolphins traded Feely for him. I think Cleo has the potential to be good. If he isn't anything special then let's move on and get us a better quarterback.

That was the guy's first career start. Look at the first career starts of Eli Manning and Alex Smith. Think they had better stats than Sage in his first start? Nope.

You have to remember how well the Raven's D played last year. They were amazing. They were expected to have the same great defense this year but things just didnt click. He was pretty much starting against the best defense in the league with little experience. I think you will like what you see on Sunday, but thats just me.
