Based on where we will be picking 22-26 range (trust me i hope its 32nd but realistically it will be this range plz dont bash me), we should be looking at key pieces to the front 7 for our 3-4 defense. Based on parcells history he will draft an olb or stud nt instead of a wr or cb. The cornerback value is in the early part of round 1 and then in round 2. Unless a vontae davis or someone of that caliber falls i see us looking strongly at clint sintim olb and BJ raji NT. These two players would be the BPA and not be going directly for a need. We have decent players but not playmakers at those positions (ferguson who is very old and roth who is average). By selecting the BPA we will add playmakers to this defense be able to add to our secondary in the second round.

Raji is the guy I want most. He would be a beast at NT and clog up the middle. I have watched him play at BC and he just would be a nice pickup. I think most of the best LB's and CB's will be gone before we pick, but sometimes a guy slips through the cracks.

us getting either one of them definitely wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit...a NT who could anchor our 3-4,or another OLB to help take pressure off Porter...i'm ok with either one of those guys playing in our defense.

Agreed. I'm anxious to see how english does in the senior bowl and combine. He's a guy that can easily jump up the boards with quality performances there.

Possibly, but with Ferguson being at the age he is and lacking any real backup options behind him (Soliai has yet to show anything, we really can't rely on him IMO) it might be wise for Parcells and Ireland to take a long look at Raji.

I completely agree. I would be very happy if drafted Sintim, Raji, or Cushing in the 1st. There are some good CB and ILB prospects available for the 2nd round. And I'm certain we could find a nice FS in the 3rd.

Wasn't that the same quote I read before last years draft and then BP takes J.Long!
History is exactly that, history, BP has a typical defense 3/4 huge LB's excellent OLB's but how he gets them I think is the difference. If he loves Raji or believes strongly that he's BPA then you know thats the way he's gonna go. Luckily for us BPA will cover NT, CB, OLB, ILB, FS all positions we need an upgrade in so if a player falls to us we should be good no matter what.

i wouldn't mind having him in a Phins uni at all...he's a playmaker at the LB position,but i think he'll be gone by the time we pick...
