Gibbs knows Portis wants the ball even more than he did last season, when he carried a career-high 343 times.

Brothers isn't this what we'd want to hear out of a runningback we'd have on our team? The Hulkster thought this would make for interesting conversation because one of the sentiments surrounding the Ricky situation was his over-use. Is Portis just insane or was Ricky not committed enough? Let's keep in mind they both played for crap teams last season. So it wouldn't be as if Portis played on a great team making it worthwhile.

okay Brother, let me clue you in: we need some balance, some creativity and some long ball.

Ricky up the middle 45 times a games does nobody good, brother.

I think its just different. Portis likes his coach and the system. Noone on the offense like the coach or the system. Ricky was basically forced to run without a line and if he had stayed would have probably preferred to have less of a line (less people to avoid). Plus, Ricky never actually complained while playing about his use. The media made a much bigger deal of it. Actually most people were amazed cause monday after a sunday game with 200+ yards, he was at the stadium running on a resisted underwater treadmill for 1-2 hrs!!!

That whole overuse complaint was always crap. RW asked for the ball more and was asked several times every game if he needed breaks. The difference in Portis is that as far as we know he's not a whack job.

ya another reason portis doesnt mind is beacuase it is one of the best offensive lines in football in front of him not the worst

Portis is a bad mother and he knows it. He put on 25lbs of upper body muscle this offseason so he could handle the punishment of the additional carries. And Miami Hurricanes always want the ball, every down, every play.

They had one of the best lines in football?

i may be mistaken but in his return press conference with his apology wasn't he asked about that and he said he never said that?

the media is a bunch of BS most of the time
