CLOCK MANAGEMENT for AJ FEELEY

Actually, he should've thrown his 3rd & 2 dump-off to somebody at the sideline in the first place. It was either a bad play call or poor execution. Either way, somebody f'ed up with no time-outs left.
i agree he was thrown short ****

Feeley is what he is, a third string qb. He has little intrinsic value as an NFL qb. The only value he has is 'endowed value' because stupidly, a second round draft choice was given for him thus boosting a third stringer to starting status. Plain stupid. The quicker he is cut, the faster the Phins can progress.

Wow you have no clue what your talking.,about do you?

This is what the PRESEASON IS FOR. to work all of this stuff out. Make the mistakes now, not later. Saban will be on him.

You have no clue do you? Maybe you should ask the philly coaches about why Feeley was only third string. I'm sure they could give you several reasons. Of course maybe you have more experience and smarts then them right? Then see if you're smart emough to answer this: would you take a second-rounder for sage?

Feeley was 3rd string because Detmer was listed as theyre back up punter.

I really dont know what point your tryin to make on your 2nd question, but I would take a 2nd rounder for Sage in a Hearbeat.. no brainer...

The point is that Feeley was judged to be no better than a third-string as in final-option, last-place, worst-performing, etc etc qb by a very competent and successful eagles organization. How can any sane person extrapolate this into being a STARTER on any other team? Especially a team as vaunted as the Dolphins. The idea of Sage for a number two is to point out the shocking absurdity of a third-string qb being endowed with unearned value like AJ was. What you see is exactly what was unfortunately bargained for. I expect him to be gone as soon as practically possible. He is the worst of the situations Saban inherited.

Why would somebody feel that they have to start a thread about Feeley and clock management except that it has become an issue because of its absence? It's just like all the other issues with him. I don't dislike Feeley but I dislike the idea of expecting him to play like a first-stringer when every last shred of evidence smacks you right in the face that he is not and cannot be a first-stringer. It's Sabans problem, he knows it, he brought in Gus in an attempt to help the situation. Maybe he'll help and maybe he won't but with AJ you already KNOW what you've got so why expect more?

he's proven he can be either a lower echelon starter or a top notch backup. Due to the fact he has yet to play an entire season its premature to cement his status unlike Gus who will never be a starter. With Gus we know we have nothing. With Feeley there is still a learning curve going on. But at least the floor with Feeley is he cant be any worse than Gus.

They at first thought they had the first down... Then AJ realized it was fourth and tried to make a play. Just a second of bad luck... He should have just snapped it and tried to make a play...

Nice work on the "Dol-Van" bro!

I would rather have Feeley have clock management problems, than have turnover problems.

Don't you mean holder for the punter?

I'm still on the Gus for starting QB bandwagon, Feeley didn't win me over by throwing for what? 3 or 4 first downs? we need a QB who will throw for bigger gains, thats why Linehan will go with Gus

well, I will just say, I will leave it up to Saban, and from what I read on Saban's comments, it will be Gus starting because he didnt throw INT's. He fumbled, yeah but you would too if 5 guys were on top of you in 1 second from the snap. That is what I call, "picking on the wrong guys". BTW, if Feeley had to deal with such crap, I would give Feeley the same benefit of the doubt.
