Clyde Gates has Ted Ginn Jr.-like potential on kickoff returns

LOL... Ginn with a KR and PR both for TDs in less than a minute.
 
Maybe the niners only picked up Ginn and not his family? Maybe his family was a bad influence on him when he was in Miami?

Seriously though, take away the fact that he was 9th overall . . . why the hell did Miami get rid of him?

The fans are emotional . . . Ireland shouldn't have let his emotions get involved and should have realized he was still a playmaker on special teams and as an occassional deep threat.

Ginn has more value than a 5th rounder.
 
Problem with him in Miami was always where he was drafted. Hard for a 3rd WR and return man to live up to that pick. Clearly he can return kicks.
 
Ginn just returned 2 today for touchdowns. I guess he's better than you remember. Where are all the Ginn haters?

You may be right, but I cant think of anyone other than Gibril Wilson that could actually work up seething hatred in my body just watching the game. I was glad we got rid of him for my sanity.

Yea he played soft, but I had this argument with someone else. When you really think about the big plays by the Miami offense since Sparano and Ireland . . . I think Ginn is probably in over half of the top 10 plays. Mistakes or not, you don't get rid of that kind of potential and playmaking ability, and thats not even including the several kickoffs called back to BS and the deep pass at Houston that would of kept us in the playoff race in 2009 but called back by a phantom Lou Polite hold.
 
Just went back and read the first 8-10 posts in this thread.... too funny. Monster fail. This thread couldn't have been created at a worse time.
