Clyde Gates leads the league in Kick Return yards.

That's what happens when you have a defense who couldn't stop the Little Giants.

Exactly what I was going to say. You're bound to lead the league in kick return yards when you have his speed and take a lot of kickoffs. Not to mention it's much easier today to keep the ball away from those kick return threats. Eventually teams will begin kicking away from gates when he learns how to house a few.
 
Doesn't mean anything when you are constantly bringing the kick out of the endzone and getting it almost back to the 20, hopefully. We really dropped the ball with Livas. We could have had a promising return game.
 
If anything it shows how bad the D is. Still, that guy will probably break one this season considering the chances he gets.
 
To add about the defense... Also when your taking kicks out 7 yards deep and return them to the 7 yard line it adds to your total. I like how we all hated Ginn for doing that but because Clyde runs head first into defenders at the 7 its ok, but if he ran out of bounds at the 21 hes a *****
 
Success by volume... Imagine what Livas might have done. The NFL is littered with Mulett castoffs that were not good enough for a roster spot on this team, imagine that.

But then again, it's a fitting commentary on the quality of the site content these days. :idk:
