Remember when we beat the Patsies on Monday Night in 2004? A.J. Feeley was at the helm. He only threw for 179 yards, and was sacked 4 times.
Sammy Morris had more receiving yards than Chambers.
Brady threw 3 TDs, and Dillon ran for 121 yards and a score.
We weren't very good, and nobody thought we could win. Sound familiar?
We only had 52-yards rushing, but Sammy Morris ran for 2 TDs.
We intercepted Brady 4 times.
Feeley had zero INTs.
And Welker had a 71 yard punt return.
It was beautiful, and it was the last great Fins game I watched with my dad before he died of cancer.
This Sunday is my birthday. All I want is for the Fins to fight. Like that great speech Al Pacino gives in ON ANY GIVEN SUNDAY. Fight for every inch, every yard, every play.
You have to be prepared for Dillon or Maroney to make a handful of big plays.
You have to be prepared for Brady to burn our secondary for a big play or two. Or three. Or more.
But we just have to respond. Never give up. Keep fighting.
You have to be prepared for our QB, whether it's Culpepper or Harrington, to be sacked a few times.
You have to be prepared for our running game to be shut down, and hope our special teams, defense, and passing game can step up.
Anything can and will happen. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, but dammit, I can't help myself. Go Fins!
