Coach Gase Discusses Strategy And Game Prep | Miami Dolphins

Interesting to hear how he acknowledges that older players can lose their emotion for the game / why you need the young guys to amp people up.

I like Gase..I think he will get us there..This week 4 game should tell us a lot about his plan and what kind of team we have..We're a little more banged up than I thought though...The last injury report Friday was a let down..I really hope the next man up thing works.!!!!

I'd like to see Tom toss a couple a picks early and our defense pressure him a lot with no flags for roughing him up...

I know a shut out would be asking a little to much.!!!!

This will be tough to win. It is also an assessment game. We should get a good idea of how far we have progressed, and how we've yet to go.

This "could be" a "statement game". That evil dynasty up north is destined to decline at some point. History says it will be quick.

The Phins are in the best position to take advantage of the vacuum that leaves in the AFCE (at least in the short term).

Could this be a " changing if the guard" week for us? I believe it can.

If Gase is who I think he is, he has had this game circled on his private calander since the schedule came out.

Well said

The Patriots aren’t going down without a fight. We know they will come with a plan, exploit our weaknesses and try to hide theirs. I think the real key here for us is to go back to fundamental football. The trenches and the execution are going to make the better team win. If you don’t have the guys the fundamentals will expose you. The trickery and slight of hand can’t be sustained for the whole game. Just stick to basic tackling, execution mistake free football, you can’t lose.

He said this game is not as big as some are making it out to be and I understand that but this game could be huge in a lot of different ways. If NE beat us and make it look easy then they could go on one of their famous runs where they win 8 or 9 games in a row and if we lay an egg then who knows what will happen with us after that.

On the other hand we beat them and NE is 1-3 and in last place not feeling good about themselves while we could gain the confidence we need to take the east.
I don't crae what he says but this game "could" turn out to be the biggest game of this decade for us.

Stop the run first on defense, then you have to get in Brady's face right up the gut. Make him feel uncomfortable in the pocket. He like to get rid of the ball fast to avoid the rush, so defend the short to intermediate passes. Double down on Gronk and limit him as much as possible and don't let Gordon beat you deep. On offense the Dolphins have to run the ball better and the Lions exposed New England run defense. I would spread the offense out and create the numerous mismatches and get the ball to the open man. Tannehill needs to take off and run for some big gains, this will be just one more weapon to use against the Patriots. If the Dolphins do all the above, don't turn the ball over, they can win convincingly.

Easy peasy
