Jut two things worth mentioning from the show. "Whole Lotta Love" for Jelani Jenkins. Philbin said that you can feel him on the field, he has played very well, and been all over the field. He played well vs the pass last year, has gotten better in giving up 5 catches on 10 tries for 40 yards. His play vs the run has been surprising. He leads the team in tackles, has not missed one, and leads the team in stops with 10. That's when a solo tackle causes a failure for the opposing O, as opposed to just making a tackle after giving up a gain.

Just as important, Philbin did say that the team had an "excellent" week in preparation for this game. Was going to lay off this game but,no have to make a bet.

One thingof note from the follow up show was Wake being doubled all last week with a TE and/or RB. OV has to crate some pressure on his own, and has not yet done so.

I am shocked you stayed awake the entire show. That is impressive.

Here we go, folks, excellent week of practice. Philbin has given us the tip-off.

Joe ALWAYS says it was a great week of practice.

Joe was a bad hire three years ago…said it then and say it now. Big mistake.

Joe ALWAYS says it was a great week of practice.

Does he really or is that selective memory? I can always tell when Conan O'Brian actually likes the movie the guest is promoting because when he likes it he says he thought the movie was great. When he doesn't like the movie he'll still give compliments but he never goes so far as to say he thought the movie was great. Its subtle, and it may have taken me years to pick up on it, but that is a perfect example of coach speak.

Not true HF, and I have watched every show. I was hoping the discussion would be about how well Jenkins has played, and not about Philbin's comment on practice. Shows ya how much I know about what is important to the forum. :)

Not true. Sometimes he just doesn't say anything. When he says we had a great week of practice the team usually comes out and wins.

If I recall correctly, he said we had "great weeks of practice" last year the last two games of the season, and we didn't show up for either of them.

Meanwhile, Jenkins has been kicking some ass in the first two games.
