After winning two consecutive games, the Dolphins are in the hunt in the AFC East with half the season to play and openly talking about a run to the playoffs.

Coach Tony Sparano said he's fine with that — up to a point. He reminded that the Dolphins were feeling good after victories over New England and San Diego this season before suffering deflating losses in the next two weeks.

"We've been down this road before," Sparano said Monday. "We've won two games, and we kind of drank the Kool-Aid a little bit and then we lost two of them. Now we've won a couple, so we can't do that [again].

"We can't worry about everybody telling us what a good job you did right now. We need to keep our head down and really keep swinging."

Coach Sparano's right...we can't get all caught up in the hype...we have to start learning to play&win consistently...beat the teams we're "supposed" to beat,as well as the teams we're not supposed to beat at all,and i hope we win our 3rd in a row and beat Seattle...

This is very important, considering we have lost the games we were suppose to win!

I agree this has trap game written all over it. Sparano needs to get them focused again and come out and hit Seattle in the mouth. With the guys talking playoffs and stuff like that he needs to turn their attention to Seattle now and get back to improving the special teams and area's Miami is needing work at. Run blocking would be a concern. Holes aren't there like they were early in the year. Seattle might have a lot of injuries but this is the NFL if you don't come in prepared and over look someone they bit you in the arse.

I heard Hasselbeck has a "chance to practice" but is unlikely to play against Miami. Patrick Kerney is out for sure - I feel his pain, the torn rotator cuff is no fun. Also read that Deion Branch is questionable. Lofa Tatupu should be back however.

Yeah, I remember when we beat NE and SD, then we played like crap against HOU and Baltimore. I'd rather we be the underdog and hope we don't lose focus.

I smell a trap game for the Fins. God I hope not but with the way they have played the last two games and Denver game being on the road, I really hope Miami takes this game seriously. Kind of hated the report where the players were thinking playoffs. The guys are still learning the system and starting to relax and have fun. Hope they don't keep listening to how much better they are and lay an egg on Sunday. Seattle still has talent and can come into Miami and win if Miami takes this game lightly. Based on what we saw from Sparano last week showing emotion and keeping his guys heads high and getting on them when he needed to but also pumping them up after good plays. That's huge in players eyes and we all see what they've done and how much the players love Sparano and the change in attitude in Miami. This is the game that will show how much Miami has improved from last season. If the come out and play like they did in Denver then all is good in Miami. If not, well that would not be good for us fans or the players.

We need to come charging out of the gate next Sunday and beat the hell out of Seattle. Keep pounding them for 60 minutes. There's no damn reason we shouldn't beat Seattle .....GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Any news if Hasselbeck will be back next Sunday?

In other injury updates:

Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck could return to practice this week after missing the past four games because of a back injury causing weakness in his legs. But even if Hasselbeck does practice, Holmgren did not sound optimistic he will be able to play in Sunday's game in Miami.

Tight end Will Heller might be able to play this week. He has been out since suffering a sprained knee at the end of the Seahawks' loss to Green Bay on Oct. 12.

Defensive tackle Red Bryant suffered a high ankle sprain and will be out for at least a few weeks.

Fullback Leonard Weaver should be OK to practice on Wednesday, and Holmgren also said he hopes linebacker Lofa Tatupu will be able to practice on Wednesday when Seattle begins preparation for Miami.

Deion Branch has not done anything other than rehabilitation work for the past two weeks, but he will have his injured heel tested this week. If he can work out on the heel without experiencing swelling and soreness the next day, he will be on course to return to practice this week.

I know it's Seattle but if Miami does this than this team has arrived. That is why I think this game is so huge for Miami right now. Will confirm that the coaches have the player faith and that they have bought in. From what I have heard and listening to Sparano I'd be shocked if Miami lays an egg on Sunday. Can't wait!:hi5:

I'm extremely worried about this next game ....This is the type of game Miami has been losing..I just hope the fins have some intense practices starting today that's the key Great, focused, all out practices usually spells a win
